★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you find yourself in Crete, you must call Aris! His wife, Anti was our cab driver from Herakilion airport to our resort. In the 20 minute drive, we had made friends with Anti and she and her hubby worked with us to design a full day private tour of the island! Aris was so knowledgeable, funny and friendly. We will go back just to use him again! I highly recommend this company for all of your transport needs in Crete.

When my wife left her jumper behind in the car on the first transfer, it was returned to our hotel the very next day! Very happy and would definitely recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aristides Psarakis, the owner/manager of Versataxi met us at the airport and transferred us to our hotel which was nearly a two hour drive. The Mercedes sedan was incredibly clean and comfortable, but the most important thing was Aristides' hospitality, friendliness and broad knowledge. He is very easy to like and the two hours flew by as we talked about Greek politics and mythology and Minoan history.
On the basis of this positive experience, we asked Aris to help us discover Crete and he suggested a number of sites to see and how long it would take to cover this distance. He was very clear with the cost, was very punctual and as this was our last day, dropped us off to the airport with plenty of time to spare.
One thing we missed out on our trip to Crete was buying home made olive oil. Surprisingly, Aris is a manufacturer of extra virgin olive oil, the technical definition in Greece is oil that is cold pressed to achieve an acidity of <0.8%, but in our conversations I think he mentioned that his oil was roughly 0.3 (but don't quote me on this). Either way, it tasted fantastic. Aris gifted us 250mL of the oil, completing our visit to Crete on a very generous note.
