Zwembad met gratis ligstoelen. Vriendelijke eigenaar en schoonmaaksters, altijd in voor een praatje. Aanrader Perfect place close to the beach, mini supermarket and plenty of restaurants next door. Clean apartments with veranda and sea view. Swimming pool with free sun loungers. Friendly owner and cleaning ladies, always up for a chat. Recommended
L	Lisa Jane on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Goed verblijf. Netjes schoon en het cafeetje voor is altijd erg gezellig praten met de eigenaar. We zaten in het appartement vooraan boven het cafeetje met mooi uitzicht op de zee en die hoorde we ook elke ochtend. Het uitzicht is erg mooi en fijn verblijf. Het zwembad is ook mooi en met een mooie tuin. Er zitten ook restaurantjes in de buurt. En in de tijd dat ik er was, was het hotel helemaal vol met Nederlanders maar de plaats zelf erg rustig maar het was zomervakantie in Nederland 2020. In het cafeetje verkopen ze frikandellen, kroketten en appeltaart. En als u even loopt op de weg waar het aan ligt is daar een reisbureau met een Belgische mevrouw die Nederlands praat. Het is ook een aanrader voor alle wandelaars want u kunt mooi naar de bovenstad lopen en dan verder in de bovenstad zijn er bordjes aangewezen hoe u verder kan lopen naar leuke plaatsen. De bovenstad is een erg rustig (toen ik er was ieder geval rustig) authentiek dorpje. Of loop naar links langs de boulevard 7 kilometer daarna kan u namelijk niet verder. Nice stay. Neatly clean and the cafe is always very pleasant chatting with the owner. We were in the apartment at the front above the cafe with a beautiful view of the sea and we heard that every morning. The view is very nice and pleasant stay. The pool is also nice and with a nice garden. There are also restaurants nearby. And in the time I was there the hotel was completely full with Dutch people but the place itself very quiet but it was summer holiday in Netherlands 2020. In the cafe they sell frikandels, croquettes and apple pie. And if you walk on the road where it is located, there is a travel agency with a Belgian lady who speaks Dutch. It is also recommended for all walkers because you can walk nicely to the upper town and then further in the upper town there are signs indicated how you can walk further to nice places. The upper town is a very quiet (at least quiet when I was there) authentic village. Or walk to the left along the boulevard 7 kilometers after that you cannot go any further.
M	Marian Shaneh Saz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastisch kleinschalig prima onderhouden appartementencomplex. Laagbouw, mooi aangelegd met een klein heel schoon zwembad met parasols en ligbedden. In een goed onderhouden tuin met bloemen en een bananenpalmboom! Appartement wat wij hadden was enorm, 2 grote kamers, kleine maar functionele badkamer, kleine keuken voorzien van koelkastje, magnetron, 2-pits electrische kookplaat met afzuigkap. Verder geen luxe meubels, maar prima bed en een lekker prive terras. Onzettend aardige eigenaar die zorgt voor een persoonlijke ontvangst. In de buurt en ook bij het complex kun je prima en voor relatief weinig geld heerlijk grieks eten. Alleen jammer dat er ( in ons geval oktober) weinig te beleven valt in Gouves. Zeker een aanrader om hier vanuit het eiland te verkennen met een eventuele huurauto. Nu voor de 3de keer hier. Nog steeds prima, aardige eigenaar, schone appartementen. Fantastic small-scale well-maintained apartment complex. Low rise, nicely laid out with a small very clean pool with umbrellas and sunbeds. In a well-maintained garden with flowers and a banana palm tree! The apartment we had was huge, 2 large rooms, small but functional bathroom, small kitchen with fridge, microwave, 2-burner electric hob with extractor. No luxury furniture, but a good bed and a nice private terrace. Incredibly nice owner who provides a personal welcome. In the neighborhood and also at the complex you can enjoy delicious Greek food for relatively little money. Just a pity that (in our case October) there is little to do in Gouves. Definitely recommended to explore here from the island with a rental car. Now for the 3rd time here. Still fine, nice owner, clean apartments.

D	Dave Lyons on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very basic, but our apartment was on the seafront with the constant rythym of the waves lapping the shore. The pool was on the smaller size but clean and very welcome after a day on the beach or roaming the Cretan countryside.
