the best!!!

Our stay here was relaxing and peaceful. Here is the review of the villa. Outside- There is a lot of ground around the villa but most of it is used for growing fruit and vegetables, which you can pick and eat. There is a good size drive way for at least 2 cars with an electric gate. Round the side of the villa is a space with a small BBQ and a bread oven (which I didn’t use) as well as seating for 6. There is also a little grass area down a level from the pool to sunbathe. The terrace area by the pool has a table and 6 chairs as well as 2 large umbrellas, there is plenty of shade as well as a good sun trap. The sun loungers are comfortable if a little basic, metal frame with a material cover. The pool isn’t huge, but enough for cooling off. There is no shallow end (1.5m is the shallowest) so not too good for toddlers, there is also a shower right next to the pool to use before you go in. Inside - The first floor is accessed via a very steep set of stairs, which may not be suitable for older people or if you have mobility issues. On the first floor there are 2 spacious bedrooms each with good amount of storage, wall mounted TV (which we didn’t use), vanity units and AC. One bedroom has a small double bed and the other twin singles. All beds are a little hard and you can feel a few springs, This was sorted by putting one of the thick blankets under the top sheet. The bathroom on this floor has the washing machine in it which works well. The shower is over a bath (which becomes fully enclosed) but it can be a tight squeeze as the shower head is on the side wall not the end, water pressure and temperature is ok, but I recommend only one person shower at a time as pressure then drops dramatically. There is also a balcony on the first floor that does have a sea view, all be it at a squint. It does offer good views and also has a table and large parasol if you wished to sit out. The ground floor has another bedroom with a double bed, TV, lots of storage and AC. There is also a wall safe with an old style key to keep a few bits safe. The downstairs shower room has a cubicle and same pressure as the upstairs. The shower head holder was loose and needed a bit of engineering to stop it dropping. The main living area is spacious with 2 sofas (one is rock hard as I think it’s a sofa bed, the other is comfortable). There is also a dining room table with 6 chairs, TV (with Netflix if you have an account it works) DVD player, Bluetooth speaker and AC. The kitchen area is well equipped, but lacks a bit of surface space to prep food on, if that is what you are thinking of doing a lot. There is a dining table with chairs in there if you needed a bit more space. There is a microwave, electric cooker and hob, dishwasher, tall fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and a coffee machine. There is also plenty of plates, cutlery etc..... The Villa is roughly 500m from a little village with 3 restaurants and a bar in. There is also a little village store for every day shopping items. Lidl is about 5k down the road for larger shops. I would say a car is a must if you stay in this villa, as no beach is in walking distance, but a good selection 20 mins drive away. The owners, Jan and his wife are lovely and pop in to sort out the pool and water the plants, really interacted with our 3 year old son. They will come in to clean, however you will need to vacate for 4-5 hours during COVID-19 to allow for a social distanced clean! I throughly recommend staying here for a peaceful relaxing holiday.
