Villa Genna - Villa Genna

Perfect spot! ???

We (family of 4 including 5 and 2 year olds) stayed in Villa Genna in early May 2019. The villa was fantastic. The pictures do not do the view justice. We never tired of it. The villa is set high on the hill overlooking Kalami Bay. The road leading up to it is thin, winding with some vertiginous cliffs on one side. If you are staying with kids I’d recommend hiring a car. If you are staying without kids you could walk down to the main road. The pool was excellent and our kids loved swimming in it. Inside the villa we were impressed with the size. The downstairs is entirely open plan and is a large area. Upstairs are 3 large bedrooms. It was the biggest villa we’d stayed in (we have stayed in many villas over the years). I was impressed with the cleanliness of the villa. When we arrived it was spotless and the cleaners arrived midway through our week to clean which was a nice touch. We met Spiros a number of times and I can see why the villa is so popular as he continues to try to find ways to further improve the already excellent villa and service he offers. We also found the villa very well equipped (towels, Netflix, kitchen utensils). A big plus also the heating. It got cold in the evenings but were able to warm the kids room before putting them down to sleep. Would highly recommend and we hope to return again.

We absolutely loved Villa Genna and spent an amazing october-week at Corfu! Villa Genna is a spectacular location, we found everything that we needed, super comfortable with beautiful interior & exterior design. The rooms were very nice & clean & the bathrooms were great with always hot water. The kitchen was fully equipped. The best part of the villa was the view. It is spectacular, you'll never want to leave the villa!!!! You can spend hours simply watching the ships go by on the ionian sea, while you take lunch beneath the cozy pavilion or drink a cup of coffee (or wine :) next to the pool... Spiros is the most helpful & attentive host we ever had. He warmly welcomes us at the airport & was always ready to help us if we needed something. Thank you for the wine, the bread & the other lovely gifts. The cleaning service cleaned the house and pool, changed the beds & took out the garbage. It was nice to come back home & find everything cleaned. We highly recommend this villa to everyone. A perfect holiday with the most beautiful memories for all of us. Villa Genna is a unique and special place. The views are simply breathtaking. Looking across to Albania, over the splarkling ocean, down to Kalami bay and to the twinkling lights of Corfu town is truly good for ones soul. The location is perfect. A short drive will take you to the beautiful bays of Kalami and Kouloura. Agni, Avlaki aVilland Ag.Stefanos are not that much further. Kassiopi is a ten minute drive with a large supermarket, many tavernas and shops. The tavernas are plentiful and offer delicious delights to eat in such relaxed surroundings. We especially loved Agni, Nikolas, Tavernaki, Cavo Barbaro and the newly opened Lasmari. What makes staying at Villa Genna so special is the sense of peace and tranquility. Spending the day on the beach was lovely but what was even nicer was winding our way back home, feeling like we were getting away from everything and enjoying afternoons by the pool soaking up the view. The villa itself is charming, a family treasure that is maintained to high standards. Beautiful walk in shower rooms were new additions in 2020 and Spiros has added homely touches of living plants and soft lighting in bedrooms. One of the highlights of staying at Villa Genna is it's owner, Spiros. Nothing was too much trouble, from booking until the very end, he was always attentive and ready to answer our many questions. We would highly recommend a visit to this villa and we very much hope to return ourselves one day. Thank you Spiros - you're the best!
