Maria who works at Villa Irini is the first and last face you see at this lovely cliff side hotel and thank goodness because she is a rock star in every sense of the phrase. She works long hours but it never shows because she is a consummate professional and a bright asset to one’s stay both at this quaint establishment and on this idyllic island. She provides a wealth a knowledge in addition to her effervescent personality and is truly service oriented making a stay Villa Irini truly welcoming and comfortable. Our room and the amenities was not only satisfying but absolutely romantic. Every room and its terrace in this hotel is designed for privacy which is often not the case here in the staggered cliff side resort towns of Santorini. To top it off, each room having its own individual jacuzzis with spectacular 180-degree views is a nice bonus addition to any stay. And breakfast being delivered each morning to our room during life and times of corona was also well thought out and executed. Lastly, Villa Irini is centrally located on Santorini making excursions in any direction and to any area or town on the island conveniently and easily accessible. I highly recommend a stay at Hotel Irini if serenity and utter relaxation is what one is seeking.

Fantastic! Room 5 had the perfect view of the caldera from our jaccuzi. Staff excellent, rooms large, comfy and clean. Nothing was too much trouble.

My wedding experience with Villa Irini Hotel Suites, both in planning and then in person, was absolutely horrific. (This is not to be confused with the adjacent Santa Irini as a wedding venue because it leaves nothing to be desired. The beautiful Aegean Sea views with the classic whitewashed architecture were breath-taking.) My initial interaction with Villa Irini management occurred when I originally booked my suites with the plan to get married at Santa Irini, next door in October 2019. The majority of my guests also booked their rooms at Villa Irini. We had 4 of their 10 suites reserved. With worldwide spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the EU closed its borders to many outside countries, including my country, the United States in early 2020. At this time, I was corresponding with Villa Irini management to postpone my booking to 2021 as the airlines had already cancelled flights from the US to Greece in March 2020 with no reschedule. Giota’s, from Villa Irini’s reservation department, only response was, “the situation will be re-evaluated in dates closer to your arrival date depending on the situation at the time.” I pleaded and pleaded with the hotel to change my reservation to when it would be safe to travel. I did not ask for a cancellation, rather a postponement of my reservation for the safety of all involved. I was still willing to give the hotel my business, but there was no way my guests and I could travel during the global pandemic and government restrictions. The reluctance of Villa Irini management to rebook my reservation to 2021 additionally negatively impacted my wedding planning as I could only book the wedding vendors in 2021 if I had confirmation of the new hotel reservation. Villa Irini waited until 3 days before my original reservation dates to confirm booking dates in 2021. Fast forward to June 2021. My guests and I were able to travel to have the wedding as planned. Again, we booked 4 of their 10 rooms for 4 nights. Villa Irini Management never published nor informed me that due to COVID, non-residents of Villa Irini were strictly prohibited from being on hotel premises. I was informed of this policy on the day I arrived although all my guests possessed proof of approved COVID vaccination. Due to by Villa Irini Management’s policies, meetings with my wedding planner had to occur at a restaurant parking lot across the street as she could not set foot on the hotel property, my wedding planner scrambled the day before the wedding, to relocate my hair and make-up appointments as the stylists would not be allowed in my room, all the pre-wedding preparation photos that were planned and paid for was not allowed and photographs of those moments are now nonexistent, and finally, three of my guests, to include my brother and my wedding officiant were informed that they were not allowed on the premises to socialize with the rest of the wedding party. Additionally, the hotel room itself was not worth the money I paid for it either. The room was pleasant, but I was definitely expecting a much more for the price. The best way I can describe the rooms would be, they are average. Bottom line, I strongly advise anyone who is interested to booking at Villa Irini, especially for a wedding, to look elsewhere as this hotel is the least accommodating hotel with the most disrespectful customer service I have ever dealt with. The way they treated me and my guest in the face of a global pandemic was an absolute disgrace.

Lovely place very clean well equipped. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Hot tub was only warm due to weather otherwise cold during night and all room are semi private as neighbours can see into your hot tub. Overall pleasant stay

The best of the best. Worth every penny. Best view of the caldera, volcano and Oia and Fira. The receptionist Maria is amazing, very helpful with everything and very kind. We had an amazing time there.

This was tough as the service was great. Maria was extraordinary and she made sure everything was as good as possible. Unfortunately the hotel has a bad spot where there is nothing is nothing near, the restaurant was close and it lacked privacy for the hot tubs. The view is good but unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it.

Booked & paid in advance, due to travel May 2020. They allowed us to postpone for 12 months & reschedule our booking. Due to Covid restrictions and border closures, we were unable to leave Australia & the tour company we booked with haven't run tours at all in 2021 or 2022. The hotel kept our AU$470 and refused to reschedule our booking. Every other hotel we had booked with were happy for us to postpone. We didn't demand a refund, we just want to be able to come here as we paid for. Disgusting customer service.
