Very nice big villa. Giant pool (over 10m long) + children's pool. Unfortunately, not so suitable with small children, many steps and the pool is up in the first Floor there is a fence but every child comes through and can easily fall down. Unfortunately, there was no cleaning in the house after a week (lots of dust and sand) and no fresh towels (which we are used to as experienced Pitsidia tourists). On the departure day we were informed by the owner that we have to leave the house at 10 o'clock (cleaning comes .... in the 12 days vacation we have seen no one). That was not very nice ... our flight was only in the evening and with a small child all day in the heat where sitting was not pleasant. Above all, you are legally allowed to move into the rooms until 12 o'clock. ?

Was soll man sagen!?
The house is beautiful, very spacious and we had enough space with our family of five. It wouldn't have been a problem for eight people either. The room layout is wonderful, as is the outdoor area with the pool. Everything corresponds to the representation in the photos. Unfortunately there are serious hygiene deficiencies in the two bathrooms and in the kitchen. Ancient grease sticks around the extractor hood. It also sticks and crumbles everywhere in the drawers and cutlery boxes. Worse still the two bathrooms. The toilet brush in the small bathroom is a picture of horror. In the large bathroom, water and foam and who else knows what is squeezed out of the floor drain in the middle of the room every time you shower. In addition, a lot has not been processed professionally. Example room doors made of wood. They are all warped so that you can only open and close the doors with great force and fear of tearing out the door handle. The paneling of the radiator in the kitchen simply falls down when you touch it lightly. The shower head and handrails in the shower are loose and unsteady and you are afraid that the slightest contact will break something. Ceiling lights flicker. Cables hang loose. Usually no problem for us, we are in the south and on vacation ... But when a pool lamp broke from its holder, the landlord immediately stood on the mat. With a bill for 140 euros for a new lamp. He was adamant and threatened to call the police. We paid because otherwise he would probably have let the water out of the pool or some other chicane. When he had the money, he even invited us for a glass of wine (he lives next door) and gave us two bottles of olive oil and a bottle of raki to say goodbye. What can you say !?

We stayed for 3 weeks in the lovely Villa Leonidas, which is situated very close to the village Pitsidia. You can walk easily to all the various restaurants and supermarkets which is very comfortable. The villa is very spacious with its 4 bedrooms ( best mattresses we ever had in Greece ), a very big living and dining-room plus kitchen , a bathroom with bath tub, toilet, bidet and washbasin and an extra shower, toilet and washbasin downstairs. The kitchen is very well equipped with all you need. This is extraordinary and makes cooking a pleasure. The espresso machine was the most used equipment. The 4 terraces, each positioned to a different direction - South, West, North and East - are most useful in the heat. The one to the West has a lounge character and is lovely and comfortable for a sun-downer. The pool is of course the best of all, specially for those who love swimming. We loved to swim our lengths several times every day. As it is quite deep for a normal pool ( we could not stand in it ) families with little kids should be very careful. But there is a little baby pool next to the big pool as well. George is a very kind and friendly host who took care of us for whatever we needed. Thanks a lot for the wine and fruit at our arrival and the oil and raki at our departure. Hope to see you again some day, Renate and Henning

We enjoyed our 3 weeks' stay at Villa Leonidas very much. It is a spacious house with nice furnished rooms, terraces to each side, where you can stay whether you like the sun or the shadow. The pool with its length of 10 m invites for a swim. There are lots of sunbeds around. The depth of the pool between 1,70 and 1,80 m might be a little stressful for families with children, but there is a small pool for the little ones. The beds are the most comfortable ones we ever found during our many visits to Crete (15 years by now). There are lots of towels and sheets for the beds. You can change them by yourself whenever you want. The kitchen is fully equipped, from the oven to the espresso machine, classic coffeemaker, grill etc. George is a nice host and is around if he is needed. All the best for you and your family, George. Thanks a lot for the fruits and wine we found when we arrived and the olive oil and rakí when we left! We will see you again! Jürgen and Brigitte
