Es ist ist ebenso geschmackvoll wie hochwertig und durchdacht eingerichtet, perfekter Rückzugsort für Paare oder Eltern mit kleinem Kind. Es gibt einen Garten mit schattigen Sitzecken und eine Dachterrasse mit spektakulärem Blick auf schroffe Berge und Himmel. Wer Katzen & Hunde mag, hat schnell neue Freunde - die britischen Gastgeber wohnen nebenan und bemühen sich liebevoll, so viel (oder wenig) Tierkontakt zu ermöglichen, wie ihre Gäste wünschen. Gastgeberin Johanna Heath verwöhnt mit eigenen Eiern, Honig, vor allem aber Tipps und viel spannendem Wissen über Land & Menschen. Bade- und tauchmöglichkeiten 10 bis 20 Autominuten entfernt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! The house is located in the middle of an olive grove and yet within walking distance of the village. It is tastefully furnished and well thought-out, making it the perfect retreat for couples or parents with small children. There is a garden with shady sitting areas and a roof terrace with spectacular views of rugged mountains and sky. If you like cats & dogs, you will quickly make new friends - the British hosts live next door and lovingly try to allow as much (or little) animal contact as their guests want. Hostess Johanna Heath spoils you with her own eggs, honey, but above all tips and a lot of exciting knowledge about the country and its people. Swimming and diving opportunities 10 to 20 minutes away by car. We will be back definitely!

Das Haus ist sehr hochwertig eingerichtet und es ist alles enthalten, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Wir haben 14 Tage dort verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Allein wenn man morgens aufsteht und den Ausblick auf die Berge hat. Hinzu kommt die sehr nette Gastgeberin Johanna. Sie war von Anfang an sehr freundlich und konnte gute Tipps geben. Wenn man dann noch Tiere mag (aktuell 3 Hunde, 5 Katzen, Hühner und Gänse) ist alles perfekt. Wir denken gerne an unsere Zeit dort zurück. A beautiful stone house in the mountains of West Crete. The house is furnished to a high standard and everything is included, what you need for a pleasant stay. We spent 14 days there and felt very comfortable. Alone when you get up in the morning and has the view of the mountains. Add to that the very nice hostess Johanna. She was very friendly from the beginning and was able to give good tips. If you still like animals (currently 3 dogs, 5 cats, chickens and geese) everything is perfect. We like to think back to our time there.

The hosts are very knowledgeable about the area and activities in close-by villages. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to experience a Greek lifestyle. My experience has left me wanting to return as soon as possible.

Johanna was very welcoming and an ongoing resource - meeting us at a local kafeneon and sharing information on the ins and outs of the area. The house is well designed and beautifully laid out for a comfortable stay and greeted us with a kitchen stocked with local Cretan foods and fresh eggs from her chickens. The location was ideal - a peaceful rural setting yet close to the Chania Airport & Venetian port with easy access for excursions to beaches, gorges, Heraklion/ Knossos, traditional restaurants with music and more. The house also served as a base to explore Kefalas, surrounding villages and walking trails rich in folk traditions and ancient sites. We'll miss the view of the White Mountains from the rooftop terrace!
A	A. Jubelius on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I stayed in Villa Oreastro in Kefalas for the third time (twice in late summer, once in spring). The description of the hostess Johanna on her website corresponds in every respect to how we experienced the holiday home: stylishly furnished, typical materials of the country used to a very high standard (a lot of natural stone), perfectly equipped kitchen, etc. We found the villa to be very comfortable. Our highlights were the roof terrace with a view of the sunrise and sunset and the view of the LefkaOri, the plants in the garden (a lovely cactus garden), the animals (3 dogs, 6 cats), the quietness (Kefalas is far enough away, no immediate neighbours). Johanna is attentive and at the same time reserved manner - contact is possible but you still have your privacy - but I can only highly recommend to talk to Johanna, because we owe the most beautiful places on Apokoronas and the best really Greek restaurants to her. She also knows much about the flowers in crete. We will be back - for the fourth time (and again in spring), again for 3 weeks and we are already counting the days :-)
