Villa Peparethos - 3rd km Skopelos-Stafylos

Εμείς δεν καταφέραμε να πάμε. Θέλω όμως να πω πως η επικοινωνία με την ιδιοκτήτρια ήταν άμεση και ακόμη και στην ακύρωση μας εξυπηρέτησε γρήγορα και με ευγένεια!

This holiday was booked directly with Athena. Booking direct was made simple and straightforward and avoiding the big booking platforms is better for all concerned. No hidden fees. We stayed at Villa Peparethos from 4/5/18 to 17/5/18 and what a wonderful time we had. There were four of us and a baby. We range in age from 13 months to 69 and I think it’s safe to say that all of us loved our time in Skopelos. The Villa is set high on a hillside overlooking the most lush olive groves and valleys with views from the huge terrace stretching for miles. The villa is spacious and authentic and extremely comfortable. The peace and quiet is good for the soul and the local beach is either a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk (not for the faint hearted due to the hill back) and Skopelos Town is a 10 minute drive. We weren’t intending to hire a car, but we did (The Local Route Car Rental were great) and we were pleased we did as it just made getting around so much easier. The cab fare into Skopelos town cost 10 Euros, whereas the car hire cost us 20 Euros a day. Villa Peparethos lends itself so beautifully to outdoor living. The barbecue area is well equipped and well designed and the pool is fabulous (though quite deep at 1.6m, which meant that two of our party couldn’t actually stand up in it) but that didn’t stop us all having fun, especially the baby. Comfortable sun loungers and pool side towels are provided. Athena and her family are charming people. Athena is always on hand to help, which for us was especially necessary when I had to have an emergency eye appointment made over on Skiathos. Athena assisted and ensured that I got to see the right person. She does everything with a smile and the loveliest manner. A full housekeeping service is organised every three days which we didn’t feel we needed, therefore we asked for it to be less frequent which worked out better for us. Having a dishwasher and washing machine made day to day life much easier and there was certainly more than enough space for the four of us. The kitchen was well equipped with a Nespresso machine (hooray), a toastie maker and the welcome pack of a local bottle of wine, tea, milk butter and bread was very welcome on arrival. The air conditioning units in the bedrooms are efficient and quiet and the wifi is super whizzy. We all loved our time at Villa Peparethos. It really is a stunning property in an exquisite location. We made some wonderful memories with our grandbaby which we won’t ever forget. Thank you so much Athena. Travel truly is the only thing we buy which makes us richer.
