★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolutely lovely place!!. Water front property but without all the noise and rough waves that some locations have. The historic villa is like a time capsule from the late 1700's. The surrounding land is covered in tall pines and orchards and has a rural feel even though the location is just outside of Corfu Town. We could lose ourselves there for a few weeks one summer and come home rejuvenated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Success! It took some research but finally found (one of the three) Durrell’s homes; this is the house featured in the TV series. The actual home where they lived is about 200m south, across the highway. We had to walk along the seashore, walk through the water, and got the amazing views as seen in the tv series. Absolutely worth it for Durrell fans :)
