We had a relaxing stay at Villa Spitaki with plenty of time spent outdoors at all times of the day and an uninterrupted connection to nature. The villa offers all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay, from AC to a coffee maker, sun loungers, fresh towels, and everything you can possibly need. What we especially loved was the beautiful garden with direct access to the crystal-clear waters of Lefkada! The garden is perfectly tended to, with soft, lush grass, olive trees, flowers (including a delightful Arabic jasmine that we caught in bloom), and even a eucalyptus tree! Each morning we received the visit of at least 5 different species of butterflies, with sparrows and other birds making their way across the trees. It was absolutely wonderful step outside to all of this every day! The only drawback was the constant hum of the traffic on the main road, which is near the house. It does provide easy access to shops, bakeries, and everything you need, but it can also be disruptive, so make sure to pack some good ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. This is not something the owner of the house can change, but I wanted to share for those looking for a perfectly peaceful location. Lefkada is a glorious island with a lot to offer, from food to beaches to the lovely, warm people that inhabit it, so make sure you explore it and enjoy it as much as you can! This was our 3rd time on the island and it surely won't be our last!
