When we decided to visit Ios, we had in mind this is going to be a nice experience after visiting the famous magical Santorini, that we would go to a more local, smaller island with great beaches, great food and great people not far by ferry from Santorini. Little we know that we will be meeting one of the coolest and kindest of persons;the owner of Villa Vorino Mr. Yiannis and stay at his cosy, tasteful and charming house. He is a man of elegance and lots of awesome stories to be heard. He was kind enough to welcome us at Port and sadly but kindly give us a left back to the port before we left wonderful Ios. He literally told us what to do, where to go, how to do and where to eat. In an hour spent with us upon arrival we had a priceless guide. We have visited every taverna, beach and sunset recommendations! And we were not disappointed. He has a Greek soul and a bigger heart. The mini villa is literally 10 minutes walk to fine taverna, heart of Chora's nightlife and 20 minutes to the port. You will find everything with high quality you need at Villa Vorino(and more). We will come back for sure, first to meet him again and secondly enjoy a great stay on the Island in our home away from home. Thank you Yiannis for being an awesome host.
