Viraggas is one of the most picturesque guesthouses you may find in the mainland of Chalkidiki.There are many guesthouses around Greece, advertised as traditional guest houses but literally, they have not the least elements of authenticity, as of the materials, the architecture, the decoration, the feeling. We spent a wonderful week in Viraggas with our 1 year old son! Our room was very clean and the furnishings were of very high quality and taste. From the accommodation you can quickly reach the most beautiful beaches on Sithonia. As for that we got very good tips for excursions from our host Vasilios. Still, we spent a lot of time on the property itself that offers many beautiful corners to relax. Another highlight at Viraggas is the food. Breakfast was always a little surprise with homemade, local specialties. And twice we had exquisite dinner there that was prepared by Vasilios himself. He and Dina went to great lengths to make us feel comfortable, and they were very fond of kids.

Nestled in the beautiful and lush countryside of Chalkidiki in the village of Vrastama is the quiet and relaxing boutique hotel Viraggas. We booked the whole mansion to ourselves and had the constant care of Vasili, our host. From the rooms to the open spaces, both outdoor and indoor, you are made to feel at home. Breakfast was something to look forward to everyday and It would be highly recommended to sample Vasili’s superb evening meals at least once. We are looking forward to visiting again and experience different seasons as well as culinary choices. Thank you Vasili!

Review: 5* Location! Quite and charming place, authentic, deep into the nature where you can escape the busy popular touristic places and the scalding hot temperatures. You can easily access nearby secluded beaches (20-30 mins drive) where you can relax in peace and enjoy the seaside. You can also go on hikes nearby to discover beautiful nature spots with small waterfalls and ponds, very well documented on the location’s blog and instagram page. The house is truly beautiful with great attention to detail. the owner is an architect and this really shows through the tasteful traditional decoration of the whole place. You can really feel the authenticity of an unspoilt Greek village, the picturesque atmosphere and the quietness of the surrounding nature. The gardens are spacious and offer peaceful corners where you can enjoy your breakfast and morning coffee. The terrace is splendid, the perfect place to enjoy your dinner. The place is spotless, kept incredibly clean during our stay. The owners are extremely welcoming and always helpful, a pleasure to talk to but also very discreet in case you want a quiet and private stay. The owner is an amazing cook, you will be pleasantly surprised with every meal you will have. The food was delicious, a perfect mix of traditional recipes and unexpected combinations. We want to show our appreciation for an amazing holiday spent at their location and we truly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend their holiday at an ideal location for relaxation and tranquility.
