★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This monastery is very old and the church itself brought on memories of my mt Athos visit a few years ago. For women which are not allowed on mt Athos, this is a good aproximation of the feel that the monasteries of mt Athos have. Off course minus the extraordinary views to the sea offered by those monasteries.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice view Monastery, with a very rich history but unfortunately destroyed during the Balkan Wars and later in the II WW from the Bulgarian troops, therefore the old buldings are not there anymore, except the main Church.

A must see if you are traveling to the north Greece.
