Αν και ο περιφερειακός δρόμος αγκαλιάζει την κοινότητα, η συντριπτική πλειοψηφία των οδηγών και επισκεπτών θα περάσουν από εδώ χωρίς να αντιληφθούν την εκπληκτικής ομορφιάς και πνευματικού κάλλους περιοχή. Για την ανάπλαση του ιερού ναού εργάστηκε ο εξωραϊστικός και πολιτιστικός σύλλογος Αγίου Δημητρίου Μηλεσίου, ενώ μεγάλοι ευεργέτες υπήρξαν η οικογένεια των Αθανασίου και Μαρίνας Μαρτίνου. Η οικογένεια έχει διατελέσει δωρητής και ευεργέτης και άλλων έργων προς όφελος των τοπικών κοινωνιών της ευρύτερης περιοχής. Αν έρθεις προς τα μέρη τούτα κάτσε κάτω από τη σκιά των πλατανιών και ηρέμησε κοιτώντας τη θέα που φτάνει μέχρι τον Ευβοϊκό κόλπο. Στο πίσω μέρος του ναού υπάρχει μεγάλος Σταυρός, όπως και το ψηλό καμπαναριό. Μερικά παιδάκια παίζουν στο προαύλιο , ενώ κάποια άλλα εξασκούνται στο μπουζούκι και το μπαγλαμαδάκι παίζοντας το ζεϊμπέκικο της Ευδοκίας. Γυρνάς και κοιτάς πότε το βουνό με τα πεύκα και πότε τη θάλασσα, και η ψυχή σου ηρεμεί δίπλα στα ψηλά κυπαρίσσια. Όλα προσεγμένα εδώ. Κουρεμένοι θάμνοι, κομμένο γρασίδι, καθαριότητα και νοικοκυροσύνη. Στο περιστύλιο του ναού ένα μαρμάρινο προσκυνητάρι του Αγίου Δημητρίου με τη φωτογραφία της Παναγίας και το καντήλι που καίει μέρα νύχτα. Έτος κατασκευής του το 1971. Υπέρ αναπαύσεως Ηλία Ρόππα, Δημητρίου Σκούρα, Λεων. Παπαδόπουλου, Θωμά Καρανάσιου, Κωνσταντίνου Παπαγεωργίου. Το εσωτερικό του ναού έχει πολύ λίγες αγιογραφίες μιάς και ο ναός είναι πρόσφατα ανακατασκευασμένος. Οπτική επαφή με το εσωτερικό του ναού υπάρχει από την κεντρική είσοδο και τα διάφανα τζάμια.
