★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Three hours before departure I got an email saying the boat wasn't going due to the weather (the sea was totally calm and the sun was shining). That was it. I called them to ask how to go to Lefkada, there wasn't any mentioning of that in the e-mail which I found utterly bizarre. After asking 5 times I understood that we could take another boat from another port and drive for 5 hours. All this costed us at least 50 euros extra and a 6 hours delay. What frustrated me the most was the fact that I am sure the boat wasn't going because there was not enough traffic (so no earnings).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is absolutely necessary to book online otherwise in the days of greatest influx there is the risk of remaining on the ground and lose your hotel reservation at Kefalonia. Better go at least 1 hour prior departure as during the active season there are too many people and you will get stuck waiting at line to reach the port. There are only 3 daily trips to Kefalonia and without online booking you can get on the waiting list. We had to wait 2 ferris that day and by great luck we were able to get on the last one. Book online and before boarding you pay the ticket at the booth in the port.
