★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First I visited this chain of supermarkets when staying in agios nikolaos in June. Already then I noted that it has the cheapest prices amongst all other supermarkets! It is the best one on crete!

Was thinking that this one would be the one with higest price and maybe not as good as carrefour. But totally wrong. This one is close by and also hs best selection! Fruit and veggie area much better then the latter. Go to this one. Dont bother to go further away if not for lidl for basic stuff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I agree with the other reviews. There was a brunette lady on fruit today who didn’t connect at all although I thanked her in Greek. The choice of fresh fruit and veg is wonderful. Unfortunately I did have a bad experience at the checkout. I was hot and masked up and took too long packing my bags. Checkout lady asked me to pay even though I hadn’t finished. Paid her then she had a go at me for taking too long and that there were other customers waiting (1 customer). Then she pushed my stuff to one side and apologised to the lady behind me for my slowness. Not in my character to speak up but sadly I told her that I was still standing there, it was the first time I had used the supermarket and that she was being rude. Customer behind me was lovely. Wish my Greek was as good as my French then I could have responded more fluently.
By the time I left I was in tears and decided I was never coming to Crete again (this is my eighth visit. Fortunately another nice Cretan person had a chat as I walked back up to Piskopiano.
Will come to Crete again but next time I go shopping in main town I’m going to the Spar!!!
