Be very careful with this broker. I have been interested to buy a yacht through this broker in 2021, which turned out to become a disaster. I made an offer, which was accepted by the seller of the yacht. The proposed procedure of the broker was to pay a deposit to the broker, do a technical survey and ask a lawyer to assist with the documentation. And that is what I did. I paid 10% deposit (a big amount!) I hired a lawyer through the broker (mistake, he was his friend!) And I went to Greece with a technical Surveyor from Holland. During the survey we found out that the Seller of the boat was trying to hide certain issues. He didn't want us to check everything and he was very dominant in his behavior. The broker was there as well but didn't interfere or say anything. It turned out that the condition of the wooden railing and underneath deck was very bad (in reality it was rotten). Also the seller became very angry when we turned off the auto-pilot. We found out that the manual steering didn't work. Of course all these things are not a problem, but I decided within 24 hours after the inspection NOT to purchase the yacht. Then the problems started: I was told in words and in writing that the deposit would be paid back minus the fuel used. However, the seller (and thus the broker) came up with a list of costs: - 1450 liter of fuel (insane for 1 hour sea trial!!) - cleaning of the yacht (which I never asked for, and why should I pay for cleaning of somebody else boat?) - an engineer on board (I have no idea why and if he was there) - Starting and running generator (really, can you believe it?) - And they initially asked for 5000,- euro (!!!) for the boat lift. A rip-off. I thought I managed to negotiate that to 1500,- but the broker took 2000,- And of course, asking the lawyer for help.... that was impossible because he was the brokers friend (stupid me!). So, they took a big amount of the deposit and then became extremely unfriendly, rude and un-polite. So, this was a very expensive nightmare for me. I remember an EU politician stating many years ago when the EU had to finance Greece again "be careful with the Greeks, that money will never come back". He was perfectly right....

Working with George was incredible. While most brokers constantly pressure you into a decision, often showing you 4/5 yachts with the goal of only showing you 1 that you might actually be interested in, George did none of that. He was extremely open to what I wanted, and showed me all over the Marinas. He is extremely knowledgable and helped me. When I finally found the yacht I loved, George was extremely helpful in securing it - working hard to make things happen. I worked with George, and I have to say, I don’t think I could have asked for a better experience. I was NOT the easiest client to work with but he treated me like family from the beginning and really cared for my opinion on the yachts we visited - which is not something you can say about many yacht brokers. I was able to find a yacht within a week and a half, after viewing several yachts he thought might be a good fit for me. George was available to speak at all hours of the day (literally), even a few times at 3 AM when I was freaking out about signing my moa. He was able to explain to me why the decision was the right move. George never complained once. In one instance we were close to signing the moa and I backed out of it and he was nothing but understanding and only wanted what was best for me. George is the best person in the yacht brokerage business that we’ve ever worked with. From the very start he was extremely helpful and understanding. We really felt like he listened and addressed all our concerns. We applied for an incredible yacht, which was hands down our first choice, but unfortunately got rejected. But George really fought for us and in the end we got to buy the yacht of our dreams! It would have definitely not been possible without him.
