It provides security, it has ICU, all the clinics that are basic. The only problem is to hire other doctors due to tourism and covid-19, because they are needed. For a Regional Hospital it is very good, excellent I would say in proportion.

If you need gynecological care, I strongly advise you to either ask for a female doctor, bring a partner/friend to accompany you, or otherwise seek help elsewhere. I normally don't have a problem with gyn appointments, but in this hospital I had a very unprofessional encounter with one of the male gynecologists. I felt extremely vulnerable and disrespected during his examination. For the entire visit, he made sexist jokes and inappropriate comments and when me and my friend protested he said "come on, it's just humour". We both felt very uncomfortable. If I had been alone with him, I would have been afraid. I'm leaving this review here so that other women have a chance to seek help elsewhere.

My girlfriend was transported here on our first night after she became extremely ill with a stomach bug just after landing. I’ve never been in a dirtier hospital - she was being drip fed medicine from a blonde nurse who I can only describe as rude and little disregard for my girlfriends condition. In fact, the assistant nurses throughout the whole 5 hours we were in there checked on her twice, the second time the doctor realised the nurse who gave her the drip for medicine didn’t even administer it properly - almost 2 hours after being in the room! The other times I had to find them (only three of them) in their staff room watching tv. There were flies buzzing round the emergency room, climbing on the equipment and trying to get to my girlfriends arms where she had the drip. Blood splatters curtains and ceilings and a toilet that I can only describe as a hole in the ground - it has no lid and was a state. I was allowed to stay with my girlfriend but wasn’t offered a chair for the entire 5 hours we were in there, or offered a drink of any kind - the nurses were literally just concerned with watching tv in their staff room. I asked if my girlfriend could have a blanket, they just waved me out the door and pointed to a pile of dirty sheets in the corner of the room. We then had to go and get an X-ray done, down a dark corridor like something out of a movie with the most cliche ‘mad scientist’ X-ray woman I’ve ever come across who didn’t speak a word of English (only two doctors in the hospital spoke English) and was very abrupt and rude. My girlfriend could barely stand, yet this woman was shouting at her and stripping her clothes off without her consent or a care in the world - id never experienced anything like it. It took an hour for the doctor to come back after I asked if my girlfriend was okay to leave. Two other patients were in the ward (more from alcohol than anything) but still no one bothered to check on them until they were yelling out for a nurse. I’m only giving this a 1 star because, despite the worst conditions I’ve ever experienced in a hospital before, the two doctors that actually attended my girlfriend and gave her the medicine were nice and everything you’d expect in a doctor - unlike the nursing assistants we had the displeasure in dealing with.

Terrible experience. We came in as a friend of mine, we thought, had some bad experience with the alcohol that was served in laganas. We arrive and the nurse with short dirty blonde hair looks at us with disgust and sent us out (as this was apparently illegal to stay with a distressed friend). We were there for 3 hours, every single doctor or nurse that walked by didn't bother to even greet us. The place itself was very unhygienic where floors and walls were broken, no gloves were used to treat my friend, and blood was splattered on the curtain. The nurse gave no indication of what she was about to do, whilst she was trying to inject my friend without any explanation. There were zero english translations throughout the hospital. There was no one there in case we needed something, it looked like there were three people in the whole hospital. Also no water fountain or some sort of vending machine. The nurses were unwilling to help and reassure my friend. She felt super uncomfortable and being made fun of whilst they were laughing. At least the doctor, by request of my friend, came out to tell us what was going on. However my friend was scared at all times and was not being taken serious. We were so surprised and disappointed as every other single Greek person we have met so far has been incredibly nice. We understand that the ER is a stressful place but it is not hard to be nice and a little reassuring. We hope this place improves, although that is very far fetched as there is a lot to be improved, especially the attitudes of nurses. We

Baddest hospital ever, came here after we were hit by a sleeping driver, they are very slowly, doesn't have humanity only thinking for their money, if you don't have the money before the surgery they won't help, they treat people like animals even greek people aren't happy with them. shame to the hospital, shame that this exists in Europe

Kalimera I was an in patient here from 19/5/19 - 22/5/19 and the service and health care was outstanding from the second I arrived by blues and twos ambulance Doctors doctor and Nurses nurse I still have the same health issues in Scotland and I dread using our NHS LANARKSHIRE hospital so it well seeing that Greece is the home of modern medicine My ambulent disabled 31 year old son stayed with me and you would have thought he was the patient!!! Everyone loved him and was so nice to him even getting meals before me!!! Outstanding the NHS in Scotland could learn so much But why oh why does it take 4 hours to get my "papers" malakia at its worst but that is part of why I love Greece I will finish this review with one word...
