Zeus Hotel - Platamonas

Poor management, unprofessional staff. After 7 nights we ware charged double, the surveillance camera was fake so i couldn't prove to the owner that i already paid in the first day. Worst vacation ever, but everything for the money, no? :)

The hotel is lovely. There is a huge parking and there were always places to park. The location is near Neo Pori but you must walk several minutes without a sidewalk which is not comfortable. There are mosquitos around and there is no anti mosquitos net. Moreover the air conditioner was so loud that you'd better consider the mosquitos. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was nice. Rooms are clean and tidy. There is a lovely balcony. Neo Pori beach is 10 minutes walking distance and faster with a car and there were free parking spots on the beach. Excluding the air conditioning everything else was nice.

We stayed at Hotel Zeus in July for 18 days. We were a family of 7 guests in 2 rooms. If I was just reviewing the hotel on it's cleanliness, it's quiet location, the pool and the EMPLOYED staff - ie the cleaners, the cook, the young man working at reception and the effort exerted by the poor lady running breakfast - I would vote 5 stars. The Sales manager Yiannis was also excellent in our email correspondence and on the one occasion I met him at the hotel. This is all ruined by the owner/manager Mr Antonis and his wife - who are the most rude and unfriendly proprietors of a business we have ever met. The disrespect shown to my wife and mother in law by the owner and especially his wife is beyond anything we have experienced. None of the famous Greek "filotimia" shown here. The staff were also treated poorly by these people and we witnessed this several times during our stay. To the credit of Yiannis the Sales Manager - or room was upgraded after a day as when we arrived we were given a room with a faulty refrigerator (necessary as we were travelling with 3 children) and no curtains/drapes in the room where the children were sleeping. We thought this was a good sign - but it was the last good thing about the entire stay. If you want a holiday where - you are under the watchful eye of the owner all day, every day - are told off by the owner for "eating too much breakfast" and the next day "bringing your own food to breakfast" to supplement the poor offering by the hotel (the hotel ran out of cereal for 2 or 3 days and the food always tasted stale) - the Wi-Fi is deliberately limited by the owner to make it next to useless - told to go back to your rooms by the owners wife (during a 2 day rainstorm - we were gathered in the common area in reception to try and get some sort of Wi-Fi signal since we couldn't do anything else) - you are charged different prices (even for things like coffee) day to day - you enjoy watching employed staff being terrorised or just plain frustrated by the way they are treated by their employer (the cleaners were admonished by the owners wife because we said hello to them when we saw them. Reception staff appeared to be banned from using the elevator - so they had to carry heavy luggage up and down the stairs for guests) - being harassed to pay cash (even though EFTPOS facilities are available at the hotel) (I could go on but you get the idea) then by all means stay here. Mr Antonis and your wife - sorry you are not cut out for customer service. Several families who were staying at the hotel and we spoke to at breakfast and the pool (under your ever watchful eye!) were also dissatisfied with the service they received from you - and on speaking to several business owners in the Neoi Poroi and Platamona area - they all had some very interesting things to say when we mentioned we were staying at Hotel Zeus. By the end of the stay we could not leave your hotel fast enough. If there is a partnership running this hotel - I would strongly suggest you put someone else in charge.

Great location, nice and kind owner. Towels are changing and giving new soaps & shampoos every day. Awesome pool ? On breakfast you have diffrent types of food you can choose from. Beach is so near. Maybe 2 minutes. Super market is on the other end of the street than the hotel. For dinner you can choose clearly everything. Just go 5 minutes to ,,city" there you have pizza, salads, spagetti, gyros, fishes.... Just anything. Great. I reccomend!!

- We booked 2 rooms and both had issues with some installments (fridge, clogged drain and a lamp hanging from the ceiling with its wires bare). - There was no restaurant, the explanation we got was that the cook left his job. - It was not possible to pay with your card, only cash was accepted on site. + the rooms are spacious and clean + friendly personnel + nice pool Decent breakfast. Not bad, not great either.

Advertised as a 3-star hotel, but it's nothing of the sort. There are certain areas in the hotel that seem to have been renovated recently, like the reception, but the general infrastructure is really old. The on-premises restaurant is closed for the last couple of years, though it is falsely advertised as open in the hotel's webpage. Reception and the hotel's elevator do not work 24 hours. The whole area closes after midnight. We had to carry our baby's stroller, 2 floors up by stairs, every single night that we stayed there. Unfortunately, all of the hotel's amenities (room, breakfast, cleaning, staff, pool area) are subpar, considering the extremely high price and its 3-star rating.

We loved Hotel Zeus! it was clean, comfortable, a convenient location, and very homey. the owners and workers treat all their guests like family!! We tried many different beaches in the area during our stay and our favorite was in New Panteleimon under the castle and cliffs. We would definitely come back. Thank you Hotel Zeus!

Spent 4 nights with my girlfriend, in late May. We were both very happy with the service. Clean, quite and comfortable room with nice view of Olympus. Daily change of towels-sheets. Standard, but plentiful breakfast. Nice pool with clean water. The couple who owns the hotel were very friendly and polite and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Good vibes, smiling and warm people. Overall, it was a very pleasant and relaxing experience for us.
