ZUKA Athens - Amerikis 6

Zuka is a fantastic experience from every perspective! You feel like you could be anywhere in the world which offers top of the game food, service and atmosphere. An amazing addition to Athens, highly recommended!

When entering the place it seemed very special as the decoration is wonderful and unique. HOWEVER, firstly, the service was rude and aggressive. The food was mediocre. Our table was reserved for 2-hour dinning which was ok, but they made as leave the table exactly when our reservation ended, although the rest of the restaurant was basically empty. We went at the bar for a drink to enjoy the live performance of a super talented girl who was the only wonderful involvement. When asked to pay the bill, the bar-woman requested that we didn’t py separately as the restaurant doesn’t accept separate payments. Also, when we finally went to get our coats from the cloakroom they told us there was a charge of 3€ per hanger... this was the ‘highlight’ of a truly bad experience at a potentially good restaurant. ??

Walk down stairs to a beautiful restaurant, the hostess asked for our coats and we were taken to a table that was not at all what one expects when making a reservation a week in advance. We were told that they were sold out for the evening and so this is what they had. We were about to leave when the hosted found another table, which was heaps better than what we were previously offered.The music was great with a live singer who was lovely. The waiters were helpful and professional. We had 4 dishes and desert. The fish carpaccio was lovely, fried feta salad was unique, spareribs were tasty, crispy duck was dry and over done. Cocktails were amazing wine was very nice, chocolate desert ( did not have all deserts available) was just okay. Just as we were finishing our desert the waiter came to say that we would have to go as the table was only given to use for 2 hours according to his Maître-d . I told him that was the first of heard of this but if they would like to move us to the bar I could accommodate as we wanted an after dinner drink. The waiter never came back and at this point our experience was sour. We decided to leave and went to get our coats, when we were told that there is a cost of 6 euros. I asked why this wasn’t mentioned when our coats were taken. We left and noticed the table we were given at the very beginning was still empty. Service starts with Management and the lack of training and customer service is obvious here. Athens has so many better options. I wouldn’t recommend.

Nice place. Doesn't feel like Athens I must confess. The prices too but really enjoy it.

Back in Athens for weekend and review from my plastic doctor Lyras and checked in with some Cypriot folks at this beautiful basement fancy club resto… great great great music score… reminded me of the early days of buddha bar in Paris… good sushi, carry and drinks… we had a front row table and enjoyed it a lot… The two bars( (middle and near the dj) full of young and middle aged socialites and celebrities. Valet parking and polite door. Must see.

Amazing place & service! Food & drinks were ok.

Horrible experience, worst food and manager ever! Went there on Christmas Eve, there was a 4 course set menu and the food was really bad with a few minor exceptions. We couldn’t eat the main course at all. There were people on the table next to us SMOKING cigars & cigarettes and the manager of the restaurant could not care less. We had to leave as the venue is in an old basement with low ceilings on the part where the tables are and no proper ventilation. The only good thing on the night was a great singer singing live that we wish they’d let us enjoy.

Very beautiful place with great food and drinks!!! Staff is very professional and kind !!! The standards are high and you should definitely visit.
