About 17 Εστιατόριο - Μπαρ
Around the summer of 1962, Frank Sinatra visited 17. And while Fotis used to sell a whisky drink for 21 drachmas, Frank was eager to pay near 30 drachmas for the same drink, but under only one condition; to have his own drink served on his proprietary, old fashioned, glass. Of course, this led to a lifetime friendship, and when Sinatra left for his summer vacations, he promised Fotis that he would come and visit him again.
When Sinatra visited 17 again, he invited Fotis to his live performance at Herodio; but alas Fotis didn’t make it. Just a few days later, Sinatra sent Fotis, 12 of his major LP hits, bearing hand-written dedication for him. Such was the bond between the two men.
During the same period, a lot of local, and internationally, famous stars visited 17; Sophia Loren, Marlon Brando, Aristotle Onassis, Jacky Kennedy, Stavros Niarchos, just to name a few.
