One of the best spots for brunch in Athens. Very nice atmosphere and good coffee. Slightly pricey, but worth it. Make sure to make a reservation, the place is small and generally full. Closed on Mondays.

A hidden gem right in the center of the city! With a multitude of flavours to taste and experience, both the cuisine and the place itself is an ideal destination to enjoy a brunch or lunch or dinner. My experience was perfect! The coffee that was served was just how I like it, the service was excellent, very polite and helpful but what stood out was the food itself. Combinations and mixtures that I have never tasted before, with high quality ingredients. We even got the chance to meet the owner, miss Marilena, who even in the midst of a "storm", found a couple of minutes to talk to us. Very friendly and happy place, 100% recommended!

Friendliest cafe in Athens. The coffee was so good I got an extra one to go. Definitely recommended but reserve in advance.

Fantastic service, mood, sound, smell, food and overall experience. Hands down one of the most under-rated dining places on Athens. Thank you for putting so much love into that place, and for curating it so well

We stopped there for a lunch break. It used to be a house (build in 1930) and now turned to this café restaurant. Kudos to the owner of the place and his design team as we learned that they wanted to keep some of the elements of the old house untouched and incorporated nicely in the decoration. We had a yoghurt bowl and avocado toast which were both nicely presented and super delicious. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Bonus: they have a unique space upstairs suitable for meetings upto 6 people. Highly recommended when in the area.

Astonishing atmosphere. I loved the decoration everywhere and the small details. Also very kind service. Unfortunately what's good about this place stops right here. The food was a complete disappointment. Coffee was very mediocre. The foam was not dense at all like it was made with a cheap coffee maker at home. From the food menu we had the Florentine eggs and the mushroom scrambled eggs. The first were not well cooked and the taste in all was bland. But the worst of all was that it was served on old bread. I will say it again "OLD BREAD". The second dish was just very very very dull in taste. Like no interest at all. It's not the first time I come across such an experience. Especially in Athens it happened many times that the food doesn't live up to the standards set by the decoration and the "class" that some places project. Too bad because places like Philos could really put themselves on the map and become a landmark.

The interior design of Philos is beautiful. Since the place is small i suggest you to: 1. book before you go 2. request a tableclose by the front side of the restaurant - there is more light 3. If you are more than 5 people possibly a bad choice The plates are tasty but nothing more than what you expect for brunch.
