One of the few beautiful buildings in the city. Unfortunately it is crammed between apartment buildings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το 1ο Γυμνάσιο Κοζάνης ξεκινάει την παρουσία του σε ένα ιστορικό κτίριο της πόλης, το Βαλταδώρειο Γυμνάσιο Κοζάνης το οποίο χτίστηκε το 1899 με δωρεά των αδερφών Βασίλειου και Λάμπρου Βαλταδώρου. Το 1900 οργανώνεται και λειτουργεί σε πλήρες εξατάξιο Γυμνάσιο με πρώτο γυμνασιάρχη τον Παναγιώτη Λιούφη και δέχεται μετά από επιτυχείς εισιτήριες εξετάσεις μαθητές που τέλειωναν τις Αστικές σχολές αρρένων και μαθήτριες που τελείωναν το Παρθεναγωγείο. Στον πρώτο όροφο λειτουργεί η Α’ αστική σχολή και στον Β’ όροφο το Γυμνάσιο. Ένα από τα επιγράμματα που βρίσκονται πάνω από τις εισόδους του διδακτηρίου αναφέρει:

Έτσι άρχισε η πορεία ενός ιστορικού Γυμνασίου που μόρφωσε χιλιάδες παιδιά της Κοζάνης και της γύρω περιοχής.
The 1st High School of Kozani begins its presence in a historic building of the city, the Valtadorio High School of Kozani which was built in 1899 with a donation from the brothers Vassilios and Lambros Valtadoros. In 1900, it is organized and operates in a full six-grade Gymnasium with Panagiotis Lioufis as the first high school principal and, after successful ticket examinations, accepts students who graduated from the Urban Schools for boys and girls who graduated from the Girl's School. The A 'urban school operates on the first floor and the Gymnasium on the B floor. One of the epigrams above the entrances to the faculty states:

Thus began the course of a historic High School that educated thousands of children in Kozani and the surrounding area.
