As authentic as it gets! Both - place and hosts ?

This place has indeed nice views over the bay, that's why I booked. However, what is not "seen" in the pictures is the road intersection above which it lies and the noise made by the traffic until late at night and starting early in the morning. I arrived on a Saturday and my room was so noisy that I felt I was in the middle of a highway. Old cars, motorcycles, smaller trucks moving between the villages and making a horrenduous noise, easily hearable through the poor insulation of the house. As I was rather tired after the trip and trying to sleep earlier, I realized this is not going to work out, so I sent an email to the host complaining about the noise and asking for a solution. The answer I got was that no one ever has complained about the noise in 7 years and if I do not like it I can leave the next day and let the keys in the door!!! That was it. When I wrote again, their solution was a villa for 200 EUR/night but "I could be sure that there will be also crazy motorcycles, goats or dogs... as everywhere else." Surprisingly, the next day I found a 3* hotel/pension with a direct view towards the sea, no traffic, no goats nor even dogs and cheaper than 7Olives. My advice: if you do not mind the traffic and pollution from the cars and having to go down to the beach/village along the road without pedestrian side, feel free to stay there, otherwise you can find better places on the coastline, probably cheaper too. Extremely bad experience all in all, especially given the arrogant behaviour of the host.

We just came back from Crete after spending a week there. It is just an AMAZING place to stay at 7 Olives Apartments! So beautiful, with magnificent views, just a few minutes away from the hussle of the center, with walking distance to the beach and all restaurants. The hosts are amazing as well - nothing is too much or too little! Great recommendations at hand. We explored Crete based on thier suggestions and were not disappointed. Also had a great night playing competitive game of Uno on the last evening with sweet little Liepa and Jurga, which ended with a full of laughter race ? We definately will be back and I can't recommend this place enough to anyone!

An elegant place, cosy studio type room with superb view over the bay and lovely sunsets over mountains. Attentive and forward looking staff always ready to advise you what to see and where to eat all across the island, not only in vicinity of Almyrida. Would come again.

We with my daughter are absolute fans of Crete! We have credo - holidays in Crete never fail. And this time was the case. Absolutely happy with our choice. The view from our room in 7 Olives was amazing, the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean, cozy and had all the necessary means for happy holidays. Yes, you need to climb the hill to the apartments but this is Crete - if you need a flat surrounding, visit Lithuania :D Crete is all about mountains and seas (indeed, Crete has coastlines on four seas). We didn't suffer from any noise at night - if you close windows/doors and shutters all the noises will be gone. The hosts have dog and cats - the most amazing creatures in the world to make kids (and not only) super happy. I will (and already do) recommend 7 Olives to my friends and family.

It’s a blessing to get in the place like this. From the arrival day and all the time until I left I felt hosts care and enjoying the best view ofcourse. Hosts always gives the best advices and recomendations and also offering local goodness. Room was very cozy and clean. It was like returning back to home.

The best hotel I have ever had a vacation in (and I have traveled to 15 different countries so far?). Breathtaking views from all rooms, friendly family bussiness, amaising good food if you order and absolutely best tips for sites to visit in Kreta and beaches to see. If you ask an advice from 7 Olives team what to see og to do in Kreta you will be surprised how many beautifull plases you can find here. Mountain hiking, jumping to the see from Clifts, Artemide salt baths, Monesteries...snorkling, surfingboard for rent, joga mats for training needs, event tours if you are interestet in to order? Fresh cheese from local farmers? All you need for the best worries free vacation❤️ Best luck for all 7 Olives family?

Amazing place to stay with magical view from terrace. You could swing in hammock, read book, have glass a local wine with local goat cheese and amazing sunsets. Hosts very helpful, friendly, lovely and happy people. I will definitely come back!
