There is no other place to stay in Athens, where both the city’s attractions and main public transport are in walking distance. We are just above Monastiraki Square, next to the metro station – that will ease your transportation to and from the airport and Piraeus port- above the city’s busiest shopping street, next to Plaka and Psirri and 10 minutes walk to Syntagma and Gazi. From our wide view rooms and the top floor, you will have the most spectacular view to the Acropolis, with nothing to interrupt your viewing experience.

I asked the waiter to move to this table ( before putting the reserved sign) and he said that it is reserved ( after our conversation he put the reserved sign) for the hotel residents and this table is for four people ( we were 2 ) after a while four people came ( no Hotel residents ) and the waiter placed them there . The waiter was not polite and he didn't say at least I am sorry.Thank god in Athens there are so many rooftops with polite waiters and they do not distinguish if you are 2 persons or 5 , in these days service matters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A for Athens rooftop is a wonderful bar on top of A for Athens hotel. Menu is very nice, with fair prices and a very nice service. From the bar ( two floors) we can have unbelievable views of Acropolis and all Monastiraki square. Unbelievable views!!!!!! The atmosphere is awesome, very nice music.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved my experience at A for Athens. We booked this place based off the stellar reviews, and they were not wrong. The key highlights are the breakfast rooftop buffet, the friendly staff, and the clean rooms. And the location is absolutely perfect, with all of the main sightseeing destinations within walking distance. Another amazing thing is that hotel guests get first access to tables on the rooftop for sunset/evening drinks, which was a great perk for us. There's truly no better view to enjoy the sunset with a drink in hand.
You won't find the type of amenities of 5-star resorts here, but that's not what you should expect from this place. The allure here is mostly for the value, location, cleanliness, breakfast, and rooftop bar. If you're looking for a spa-type experience with great amenities, I would advise going somewhere else. But if you want to maximize sightseeing and you enjoy breakfast and happy hour drinks, this is definitely one of the best places in Athens.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is the best location to be in! Do reserve a seat on the rooftop so you can experience the sun setting while viewing the acropolis.
Food and service at the rooftop was great!
Rooms were comfortable and the location is the best. There are great restaurants all over and even a night club with hookahs.

The staff are so friendly. You're in the heart of the best foodie area and such an eclectic district. I genuinely can't say enough nice things.

The cocktails are good (10€), the tomato salad and olives were absolutely amazing, but I have to say that deserts were a big blow. It looked very good but it was absolutely not tasty. Go and take the food and/or cocktails, but please save yourself 10€ and don't get desert.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited this place for the rooftop restaurant. The view, the service, the drinks and comfort were amazing. The food menu was somewhat lacking though and the portions were pretty small even for an upscale place like that. We enjoyed our stay and had a great evening, nonetheless if you are traveling on budget and want to enjoy the rooftop view on the Acropolis with some food and drinks without busting your wallet, you might want to consider other places.
