I had a terrible experience with this company. At first, they asked me to pay 20 euros because it was night, but when I rented the car I explicitly stated that I would have arrived at 10 PM. I spoke directly with an employee in Crete. They gave me a Skoda Octavia in extremely bad conditions. It looked like it had 300 000 km but it actually had 80 000. The day after I realized that the air conditioning was broken. When I returned it, a girl tried it with the engine off, and said it was working. It was clear that she was just lying (the a/c is off when the engine is off!). After some discussion I asked her to call a mechanic. So she gave me a Ford Focus with 120000 km. The a/c was ok. My evaluation, though, depends on their behavior at my arrival. The contract said that a penalty of 150 euros would have been applied for "extreme dirtiness". I returned the car with some sand on the floor, and they told me that it was extremely dirty. There is already one review that laments this behavior, so it must be their procedure. It was clear to me and to my family that they were trying to raise money because they first asked me to pay 50 euros, and then 40. I discussed with them a lot, asking them to call their chief. They declined my request saying that their were the chiefs, but it was clear they were not. Then I had to clean the car by myself. Returning the car (which I drove as if it was mine) took me 40 minutes, and I had to take a flight back to athens. My suggestion is: never rent a car with Abbycar. Their behavior has been manifestly dishonest.

An INSANELY ABHORRENT experience...! I found them through the website Car del Mar, and arranged a car at Heraklion airport for 10 days. Stay away from these frauds! Firstly, staff is extremely unfriendly. They tried to sell me some shady supplementary insurance, whilst already having a full omnium. Secondly, I received a smaller car than I originally paid for... when brought up, they answered I could take it or leave, no refund possible! Thirdly, when returning the car, suddenly a small dent was found... I had to pay immediatly 450 euro for a dent the size of a penny! I refused so they threatened to not release the obligatory 1000 euro warrant I had to give them up front! Truly an abhorrent experience and I WILL NEVER do bussiness with them again, NEVER! Even one star is too much for these fraudsters!

We booked 2 cars on 1 creditcard and didn't read the terms of condition. That became a problem picking up the cars. Everywhere you rent a car, the creditcard should be on the name of the driver. Female employee with glasses was very rude (take the bus instead) , the man behind the counter charged €1100,- deposit (this is nowhere to be found in terms) on credit card but the limit wasn't high enough. After some time he had 1 other solution and in the end we got one car. My cousin had to rent another car at another rental company. The way they treat people is unacceptable.

When you ll arrive they will suggest to subscribe a full insurance (about 200€ more) saying that is better in this way. When you will give back the car if you have any little damage they will ask you other 150€ for administration and 50€ per day that the car it is unusefull. We just scratch the back of the car (very little damage) and they ask for other 150€ plus 150€ plus the 200€ of the insurance full cover. BTW the car had a lot of damage when they give it to us. Worst experience ever with a car rental

Avoid them. They tried to cheat us with an insurance for 10 euros per day even we bought online a fully insurance. We rent a Ford Fiesta and we get a smaller car, a Suzuki Swift with a lot of scratches and some service warnings lights on (oil and another one). Also we booked a child seat and we received a cheap one without isofix lock, which seemed unsafe. When I complained about all these, the guy from Abbycar replied and tell he will cancel my reservation.

sadly giving zero stars is not possible - would never hire from the again. Picked up a car which had some scratches, all documented, but as it was dark already when we collected the vehicle and there was insufficient lighting for a thorough inspection, it was completely impossible to verify there weren't any more than the ones they had indicated. And sure enough, when we returned the car, we were accused of having caused another scratch we could have never spotted at pick up due to the poor lighting conditions. Really suspicious though was the way the employee went straight to the scratch we had allegedly caused when inspecting the vehicle....so if you do decide to rent from them, which I personally would never again, make sure you pick up your car in full daylight and inspect every nook and cranny!! otherwise it is your word against theirs, and you may well end up paying for something which is not your fault like we did.

I strongly encourage no one rent a car with this company. Unfortunately I booked through a third party and did not pay attention the company to do my research. This company seems to rip off every single person they rent to, with the same tactics. The initial walk through of the car indicated some larger scratches, which were all documented. Upon returning the vehicle, the woman I turned the car in with walked directly top the hood and pointed to faint scratches accusing me of parking under a tree. After arguing with her about these scratches, I got nowhere. The vehicle was in an open parking lot the entire trip and received no damages at my fault. I tried to take photos of the scratches, but they were so light that the camera could not capture them. The way she walked directly to the part of the car and inspected nothing else, made it very clear this was standard operating procedure. Sadly, after reading these reviews I seem to be correct in my assumption. Not only did I pay 60 euro to the company for the additional insurance, but then I had to pay 350 euro for the damages. Such a rip off and I hope this stops happening to others.

UNPROFESSIONAL, CORRUPT, AGGRESSIVE. This is without question the worst experience I’ve ever had renting a car. We booked through easyJet so we’re unable to choose the company ourselves, if I’d had the opportunity to see how bad others experience of Abbycars was I would obviously have chosen a more reputable company. To top off my AbbyCars experience the dodgy Australian/Greek man working for them outside kicked a cat while we were there.
