The food is delicious and though we are from different cultures we could feel that it was "grandma's cooking". We see locals coming in to eat by themselves so that's hallmark of a good place anywhere!

My best choices are between the just cooked in the noon dishes, especially when they have prepared the leek-selery dish, the greens soup and their famous beefsteak with their paprika sauce! The prices are below reasonable, they are as cheap as they can be, for example the leek-selery dish costs 2.5euro and if you combine it with salad and bread you may be able to eat 2 times in a row. The staff is polite and helpful, they guide you even if you want to stay and eat or you wish to take it away in your home. In the end of the meal they always serve pieces of fruit or sweet cakes on the house. I'm eating in Achnos since I was a student-already 16 years!- and I can assure that I've never had any comparable tavern experience in Thessaloniki. When I'm eating in fancy and expensive restaurants and get disappointed by the food, I'm always thinking what could I have eaten in Achnos with even less than a half money!
g	gert linden on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great meal here tonight. Honest food, home made. Had a table outside with a nice conversation with a Greek couple. The cheese spreads with bread were great. A oven dish with the big rice and veal was delicious. The sucinni tasted great too. A white and red wine accompanied the dishes. Finally the bill did not had me rob a bank.... So.... higly recommented when you love great authentic Greek food in a nice atmosphere.

Great quality food (I would like my home made fries if possible ?), excellent value for money and some of the most welcoming and friendly staff I have met! A defo 5* for a classic greek tavern/grill restaurant!!! Ευχαριστούμε πολύ παιδιά! Συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα!!!
