The Milos bus station is also the taxi rank. So there are several things to remember: The buses work well. The times are roughly those marked (later than in advance). In short, they allow you to move around quite easily. Taxis, however ... apart from being expensive, you still have to be able to take them. The number shown calls an old landline phone connected to the bus station. The principle: the drivers zone right next door and if they are not in a rush, they will answer the call and see if they are interested in coming to pick it up. It is therefore not at all impossible for the driver to hang up (on the nose) if he finds the trip uninteresting or sees tourists in the distance who are more interested in him or if he does not understand the request. Indeed: they speak very poor English. During rush hours (that is, during meal times and ferry arrival), calling a taxi is not possible. In short: the bus ok, taxis: nothing is less certain.

Buses ran on time and got us to the larger cities okay! Prices from Adamas ranged from €1.80-€2.10. Bus schedules are available online and are offered in English as well. Most stops also seem to have bus shelter with seating and shade, which is a plus!

Amazing experience with the buses in Milos. They are always on time, drivers are really nice, buses are modern and take you anywhere in the island, apart from the parts that can only be reached by boat. It’s also very cheap. You pay when you leave the bus, by the way! What a lesson to the chaos that is Santorini. Milos is incredible!

What's to say: it's a bus stop??‍♂️ The timetable is a challenge as it does not list the stops and times. But at least here there are stored and a good bakery, so turn up in plenty of time, buy a drink and bite to eat if needed then relax and wait. What's the hurry?
