Aegean Sky Hotel & Suites - Ilarionos Katsouli 17

This is the best hotel I have stayed in in Europe. The staff are the nicest, friendliest people in the world and they do everything they can to make you feel at home. The rooms are clean and stocked with everything you need AND YOU CAN GET A HOT SHOWER. I was unable to get a hot shower anywhere else in Greece but at Aegean Sky Hotel and Suites the shower is amazing. The beds are comfortable and the hotel even has a pool and a poolside bar! The location is close to the beach and provides free parking. I can't stress enough how amazing this place is and how incredible the people who work there are.

We are not stooping at this hotel but we did go to the Greece bbq fantastic night The food was so good .The owners and staff are so nice .We will be stopping in this hotel next year

This hotel did not give the experience I was expecting. My friends and I were in malia for a party holiday as were all the other people in the hotel who were all a similar age to us. However, during our stay an older group of women were moved into the room beside ours which was situated around the pool - the rooms around the pool were all accommodated with teenagers who were on a party holiday. It was not a wise idea of the hotel to accommodate the older women beside us as the hotel knew we would be coming in from nights out in the early hours of the morning which resulted to the women complaining and we were then threatened to be kicked out. Michael the hotel manager was incredibly rude from the get go and when leaving the hotel came into our room, closed the door and shouted abuse at us which was a very scary moment as you could imagine. He is not a very welcoming staff member and his role should be reconsidered. Mike the security guard was rude at the beginning of the trip but grew on us. However, Mike then made the mistake of opening our room to two strangers without being sure of who they were. This was a very frightening moment as we were scared of our belongings being misplaced and the fact that he could let anyone into our room without showing any proof that it was their actual room. Mike wasn't worried about the people entering the hotel, he was only worried about getting everyone into a room to keep the premise of the hotel as quiet as possible which is very unprofessional and unsafe. Panos was lovely, welcoming and really stood out in this hotel experience. He was very helpful and a father figure. He was fair and understanding which made the threatening of being removed of the hotel alot better. Its a shame I cannot say the same for Michael. The rooms weren't as expected. Pictures displayed on the website showed a large spacious room with a kitchen. Our room was a box with a sick situated directly in front of the beds. Cleaners were very rude and came at very inconsiderate times - 8 am. The food in the hotel was very basic and rather bland. Drinking spirits from the hotel bar was the biggest waste of money you could imagine. The bar man would pour the mixer and then swirl a tiny bit of spirit into your drink and charge you 5 euro. Putting the mixer in first stopped the customer from knowing the real measurement of spirit that was going in - it really was a joke. Even though the week we had in malia was amazing - it could have been alot better if the hotel lived up to its standards

Bit of a strange start. We arrive late on the night and are herded around like we was on a school trip when all we want is the room key to chill out. They then demand a €50 charge per person for a safe that fits 2 items, air con that works if you’re lucky, “super fast WiFi” which is far from that and access to a bbq on Saturday night; which in fairness was very nice. On our last day we fly at 22:15 but are kicked out of our room at 11am with no where to go. No access to a room to get shower and changed and no secure place for our luggage. With this, they again want more money ( €30 ) per room to hold the room till up to 4pm. The staff where friendly most of the time, Panos the owner is very social with you and loves what he does. His son behind the bar again is welcoming and friendly. However if you plan on bringing someone back to your room If feeling a little lucky (if you get what I mean) then forget it! The security don’t allow lads and lasses to be together. The rooms where always clean however and maids were very friendly and chatty with you. Fresh towels and bedding where done daily if you was awake to let them in. The size of the rooms wasn’t great but for a lads holiday they did the job. Overall, the place does the job, it’s not fancy and not really that big, one pool is available for 4 complex’s so gets quite crowded but everyone gets along so can’t really complain. If you’re after something more luxurious then look elsewhere but if on a budget and want to be near the strip it is a decent little place.

Super holiday .panos ,joanna,joseph and tina couldnt have been better hosts .the room was lovely and clean excellent location.great food and 2 -4 -1 drinks every night would defo go back thanks for a great holiday Janet and billy rooke

We had a great time, owners are fantastic (family run) the Greek night was good fun and the food was amazing..

Hidden extra charges for air conditioning, WiFi and locker. Poor room decor and condition. Beds are creaky and mattress uncomfortable. I paid 21 euros for city tax and checked out of hotel after first night since hotel was awful and I would not be able to stay in such poor conditions for 2 weeks. I was promised refund if city tax which I have not had till now. TUI and Agean sky hotel ruined my holiday and I ended up paying 2 weeks of accommodation charges in a different hotel again. Please be beware of Agean sky hotel in Malia , Crete. There are many hotels and suites close to beach which are way better quality than Agean sky hotels.

Aegean Sky was amazing, the most welcoming staff that go above and beyond for you! We loved it so much we had to go back, if you’re looking to stay in Malia this summer then you must stay here! Can’t beat it!
