Είναι αξιοσημείωτο να αναφέρουμε πως σύμφωνα με τους γλύπτες, όταν το άλογο εχει και τα δυο του πόδια στον αέρα, φανερώνει το γεγονός ότι ο ιππεας του πέθανε στη μάχη, πράγμα που δεν ισχύει για τον Κολοκοτρώνη(πέθανε από εγκεφαλικόεπεισόδιο στο σπίτι του) . Ωστόσο ο γλύπτης Φάνης Σακελλαρίου που φιλοτέχνησε το άγαλμα του μεγάλου πολεμιστη δεν ήταν να πληροφορήσει τους περαστικούς για το πως πέθανε, αλλά να προσπαθήσει να αποτυπώσει την ορμή του καθώς έμπαινε στην πρώην Οθωμανική Τριπολιτσά.
