Α	ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΣ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο Ιερός Ναός της Αγίας Μεγαλομάρτυρας Κυριακής είναι μία ξυλόστεγη τρίκλιτη βασιλική και βρίσκεται στην περιοχή της Χαριλάου Θεσσαλονίκης στη συμβολή των οδών Αμφοτέρου και Αγ. Κυριακής στην ανατολική πλευρά της πόλης στα όρια του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης με τον Δήμο Πυλαίας. Παλαιότερα η περιοχή ονομαζόταν συνοικισμός «τροχιοδρομικών» γιατί εκεί βρισκόταν το τέρμα των τραμ και πολλοί περίοικοι ήταν εργαζόμενοι σε αυτά. Το 1955 κτίστηκαν στον συνοικισμό αυτό με απόφαση της τότε Κυβερνήσεως οι πρώτες εργατικές κατοικίες. Την ημέρα που έγινε η κλήρωση στους δικαιούχους των κατοικιών, η Εκκλησία μας τιμούσε την μνήμη της Αγίας Μεγαλομάρτυρας Κυριακής. Έτσι αποφασίστηκε, ότι ο ναός που θα κτιζόταν για να καλυφθούν οι ανάγκες των πιστών της περιοχής, να είναι αφιερωμένος στην Αγία Κυριακή. Σήμερα τον Ναό κοσμεί το νέο ξυλόγλυπτο τέμπλο σε αντικατάσταση του παλαιού μαρμάρινου και είναι έργο του ξυλόγλυπτη κυρίου Ευγενίου Αμανατίδη και στο οποίο τοποθετήθηκαν εικόνες αγιογραφημένες δια χειρός του αγιογράφου κυρίου Θεοδώρου Βογδάνου. Θα ήταν παράλειψη, αν δεν αναφέρουμε ότι στο Ναό υπάρχει πλέον μόνιμα τεμάχιο του Ιερού Λειψάνου της Αγίας Κυριακής τοποθετημένο σε ξυλόγλυπτο προσκυνητάρι μέσα σε ειδική προθήκη προς προσκύνηση του κάθε ημέρα όλων των ενοριτών και των ευλαβών προσκυνητών .
