The journey may not be the easiest but the view is worth it ... And the infinite blue helps the soul find its peace and be able to pray more freely ... We are talking about the Church of St. Ephraim which is located in the area of Wind Turbines above Galini.

Θα παρκάρετε το όχημα σας στο βενζινάδικο της Shell.Έχει νησιωτική αρχιτεκτονική που συνηθίζεται στους αναθηματικους ναους της περιοχης και διαθέτει όμορφο αύλειο χώρο με θέα τον κάμπο και το Απάνω Κάστρο που βρίσκεται στο βαθος δεξιά .Η ηλικία του είναι μόλις επτά ετών. Ο ναός είναι καλοσυντηρημένος πλην όμως δεν διαθέτει τοιχογραφίες. Αξίζει να τον επισκευτητε διαθέτει ιστορικά κειμήλια. St Efraim Christian Church is only 50 meters from Shell fuel station just before arriving to Damalas village as your heading towards Halki.This church is worth visiting although it has not particular architecture and no aged Byzantine icons. It’s stands on its place for 7years and merits your attention for it’s marvelous location , wonderful architecture and simplicity! It’s accessible inside , on appointment only ( by the village ‘s priest) and won’t let you down on paying this a visit! The church of Agios Ephraim deserves your attention right next to the restaurant Giannis just before you reach the village of Damalas. You will park your vehicle at the Shell gas station. It has island architecture that is common in the votive temples of the area and has a beautiful courtyard overlooking the plain and the Upper Castle on the far right. Its age is only seven years. The church is well maintained but has no frescoes. Worth visiting is it has historical relics.
