★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mało osób tu dociera, ale nie pierwszy raz się spotykam z tym, że tego typu miejsca w Grecji nie są w ogóle reklamowane. Tymczasem w tym niepozornym kościółku, położonym ok. 30 minut spacerkiem od Malia (po drodze podziwiamy wiejski krajobraz, gaje oliwne i plantacje bananów) kryją się freski z XIII (?) wieku, część z nich całkiem dobrze zachowana. Warto też pośród fresków poszukać inskrypcji pielgrzymów z XVI i XVII wieku, to naprawdę porusza wyobraźnię!
Few people come here, but this is not the first time I meet with the fact that places of this type in Greece are not advertised at all. Meanwhile, in this inconspicuous church, located approx. 30 minutes walk from Malia (on the way we admire the rural landscape, olive groves and banana plantations), there are frescoes from the 13th (?) Century, some of them quite well preserved. It is also worth looking for the inscriptions of pilgrims from the 16th and 17th centuries among the frescoes, it really stirs the imagination!
