★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο ναος του Αγίου Ιωαννου ,πλησιων του χωριού Δαμαλα, αξίζει να τύχει της προσοχής σας μόλις 100 μέτρα από το βενζινάδικο της Shell όπου και θα παρκάρετε το όχημα σας, ακολουθητε το ανηφορικό δρομάκι με τα σκαλακια και θα τον βρείτε στα εκατο μετρα στο δεξι σας χέρι.Έχει ιδιατερη νησιωτική αρχιτεκτονική που συνηθίζεται στους αναθηματικό και διαθέτει όμορφο αύλειο χώρο με θέα τον κάμπο και το Απάνω Κάστρο που βρίσκεται στο βαθος απέναντι .Η ηλικία του εκ της αρχιτεκτονικής και το είδος δομήσεως αυτού χρονολογηται περί των 100 ετών.Η εκκλησία αυτή αξίζει της προσοχής σας. Σε αυτό συνάδει η εικόνα που φυλάσσεται σε αυτόν.Θα εστιάσω την προσοχή σας στην εικόνα του Αγίου Ιωάννου , φιλοτεχνημένη από ευσεβή αγιογράφο που θέλησε να διατηρήσει την ανωνυμία του.
Ο ναός είναι καλοσυντηρημένος πλην όμως δεν διαθέτει τοιχογραφίες. Αξίζει να τον επισκευτητε διαθέτει ιστορικά κειμήλια.

It’s accessible inside , on appointment only by Father Michalis ( the village ‘s priest) and won’t let you down on paying this a visit!
The church of Agios Ioannis, near the village of Damala, deserves your attention just 100 meters from the Shell gas station where you will park your vehicle, follow the uphill street with the stairs and you will find it a hundred meters to your right It has a special island architecture that is accustomed to votive offerings and has a beautiful courtyard overlooking the plain and the Upper Castle which is located in the deep opposite. Its age of architecture and its type of construction dates back to about 100 years. This church is worth of your attention. The image kept in him is in line with this. I will focus your attention on the image of Saint John, created by a pious hagiographer who wanted to maintain his anonymity.
The church is well maintained but has no frescoes. Worth visiting is it has historical relics.
