Εορτάζει στις 29 Αυγούστου (της Αποτομής της Τιμίας Κεφαλής του Αγίου Ιωάννου του Προδρόμου) με ιδιαίτερη μεγαλοπρέπεια και λιτάνευση της Ιερής Εικόνας. Αρχικώς ήταν ένα πολύ μικρό εκκλησάκι (σήμερα το βλέπετε στα δεξιά κοιτώντας τον Ναό). Με στερήσεις, προσωπική εργασία και δωρεές παλιών Γερακιωτών φτιάχτηκε ο σημερινός Ιερός Ναός. This is the Metropolitan Church of the Municipality of Pallini, as the patron saint of Gerakas which is the seat of the Municipality. It celebrates on the 29th of August (of the Sharpening of the Holy Head of Agios Ioannis the Forerunner) with special magnificence and procession of the Holy Icon. Originally it was a very small church (today you can see it on the right looking at the Temple). With deprivations, personal work and donations of old Gerakiotes, the current Holy Temple was built.
