★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has to be one of the most incredible and unique places I have ever visited. It is truly breathtaking. You have to do about 30 minutes of mild/moderate difficulty hiking from the nearest parking area, but it is not too difficult to get there because there is some signage. You can enter the chapel to leave an offering, say a prayer, or simply contemplate and admire :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice sunset spot. I do not recommend going in flipflops, because of the rocky path.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Cave of Agios Stefanos (St. Stefanos) is a hard to reach but beautiful cave in Syros. It is approximately an hour – hour and a half walk from Galissas but you can also drive uphill from Galissas until the dirt road, from there it’s a 30 – 45 minute walk.
The dirt path is steep and sometimes hard to find since it’s on top of a mountain but it is definitely worth visiting while on Syros.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mildly hard / steep hike with fantastic views leading to a really unique place. Must see in Syros, to be honest we were surprised that there weren't that many hikers on the trail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in May 2022 and my partner and I went most of the way down (3/4). The climb down is much more than “mild”. I would say it was hard and somewhat dangerous - loose shingle and steep descent with little to hold on to. My partner really didn’t have a good time and so we decided to head back up. Walking up is a lot easier than walking down as one is more sure of their footing.
Not sure if I would recommend. Perhaps if you’re a better climber than us. I’m sure it was very beautiful down there though! Our other problem was that it was excessively windy and that made it feel even more dangerous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unique little Chappell built in a rock by the sea! The hike there is pretty steep but totally worth it. Be prepared and wear good shoes that won’t hurt your feet and have a hat/water with you.
