Dolphin Bay Family Beach Resort

Returning customer here. Lovely hotel by Gallisas beach, built like a tiny village up the slope of a hill, featuring a nice view of the bay and following strict Covid-19 protocols, the best I saw this far at Tinos & Syros . It’s geared towards families with children and meal times can be stressing occasionally but kids are the hope so who are we to complain? Anyway, some parents could have taught their offspring that restaurants are different places from playgrounds. Pets where better behaved. The cuisine is again excellent, in the genre of “hotel cuisine”, fresh fruit abound and the rice pudding ( rizogalo) at breakfast is a feast for the soul.

For families and standard food, standard service, standard everything, it is ok.. If you are looking for something more, forget it. It is a jewel hotel in a jewel place, underutilised and very basically run. The check-in and checkout policy is standard again but if you are loking to keep the room even for a couple of hours or pay for it, on the day you leave, you are directed to leave your bags, and have shower if you want at the basement. And if you imagine a nice shower, forget it. A bathroom of the 1960s..... Personnel very helpful, but thats it. Again, their capability underutilised... There is no use of logic, standard (again) answers.... It is a pity as it could have been a great resort, if apart from the standard/basic service, it had some premium rooms and service. Why on earth a jewel bar by the pool can not be a a la carte breakfast place or a premium restaurant. There are people coming at the island that look for something more and the hotel owner would make much more profit, to the benefit of employees, more employed people from the island etc. Why the white and blue ydilic colours of the various blocks of rooms are spoiled, in fact messed up, with the brown beige incompatible colours of the reception and the restaurant area beats me. A junior architect and designer could put his/her simple advice to make it better. What a pity.....

This is an amazing family hotel! There is a waterslide to the main pool and children's pool with another mini slide. Additionally, there are ice-creams and popcorn at the pool for children all day long. The hotel has a well lit playground suitable for when the sun goes down. The rooms are great, we booked a seaview on the second floor, which overlooked the pool and sea. The food is great and the staff are friendly. There are many restaurants and a supermarket walking distance from the hotel.

Great family hotel. Good for any age. We definitely book it again. Staff there so helpful. My son forgot his teddy and the thwy was so kind to post it for us at our next destination. Bonus is the great beach in Galisas. Thank you for everything

It is a family resort situated next to galissas Beach with a fantastic view. The stuff extremely polite and helpful. It's also well maintained and clean. Breakfast better than dinner but adequate. It is good value for money

Clean rooms and cleans towels every day. Very careful with cleanliness all over hotel and pool as well. Not afraid with Covid measures and restrictions. Great location with sea and pool. Clean pool. Waterside great for kids, so much fun!! Friendly and helpful when needed staff. Lifeguard and baby sitting for kids an advance. Definitely recommend and definitely will visit in the future with pleasure!!

Great place! The beach is sandy and clean, maybe the prices for sunbeds are too high (20 € per day)

Visited it 4 years ago and gave it only 2 stars. Unfortunately after 4 years the reasons for this remain unchanged. Old buildings, have remained in the… 80’s. Food is way below average and there is a feeling of rooms and common spaces that could use refurnish and cleaning… The sound proofing of rooms is non existent and if you are unlucky to have neighbours with restless kids, you can forget about sleeping.. All these come at premium prices for rooms that simply do not deserve it. On the positive side, views are nice and employees are polite.
