★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We discovered there is a new winery close to our village in chalkdiki. I went there with no expectations because I didn't know what quality to expect. The owner received us with open arms. He took his time and explained everything we needed to know about the winery. After that we went on with the tasting. His wife joined and was equally friendly. The wines were superb and can easily compete with the more well-known Santorini wines. You can find a select amount of white and red wines to keep the quality high. The white wines offers very fresh flavours, with high acidity and some fruitiness. The reds were well balanced, had a nice body and colour and flavours of dark fruit. Also a "summer" red was exquisit. This was all accompanied by great mezes (local cheese and deli). Overall a great experience and a must go if you are in halkidiki.
