We went 3 times over the 4 days of our holiday. Lemon pie and yekmek were exceptionally tasty. It was such a warm and special place to visit with artwork designed by the owners & homemade deserts. Highly recommend you drop by if you’re visiting the Acropolis for a coffee, desert or a place to relax for a while with a drink. The place made me smile

The best coffee I’ve had in weeks traveling Greece. And the shop sells amazing pastries and jams all made by the owner’s wife. Directly beside the Acropolis Museum.

The owner is very passionate, talked to us about her goods at length while we were in the store. The Lemon Tarts are incredible, very excellent flaky crust, wonderful lemon filling. Very nicely balanced, not overly sweet. The cheesecake with preserved cherries was similarly excellent. Usually cherry toppings tend towards too sweet, and have the fruit itself turned to mush by the time you eat it. These were still very toothy, more like dried fruit rehydrated by the syrup. The overall effect was excellent. We also tried a vegan style grape cookie that was very nice, cake-y, with a complex and interesting flavor that I had never tried before.

If you’re looking for a sweet treat by the acropolis museum, look no further. We were staying nearby and stumbled across this cafe. The patisserie offerings were delightful. We enjoyed the Ekmek and Lemon tart. Everything is made by the owner and his wife. We grabbed some tasty homemade limoncello to bring back to family.

If you only get one dessert while in Athens, make it the Alchemist’s traditional Ekmek! It‘s an amazing blend of custard and a crisp, sweetly drenched stringy dough crust! It‘s truly amazing! I hardly go to the same place twice while on vacation, but this earned a second visit!

Finally taking the time to write this review. I was in Athens for a week and and came here a total of 5 times. I discovered this Café kinda by accident on my first day, and honestly it was an amazing experience. I tried the Ekmek, the Red Velvet Cake, the Beetroot Cake, the Lemon Tarte, the Pecan Pie and many of the other things :) They have an incredible selection of different teas, and they were all delicious :) The Ekmek was by far the best, i got it four times, for that alone i would fly back to Athens ? All in all, the Café is super lovely, the owners are the most friendly people, the prices are very fair as the portions are HUGE, and I will miss my daily piece of cake from them. Thank you so much for making my Stay in Athens even better!❤

We were lucky to stumble into the best pastry shop in Athens. Lemon pie is second to none. Also tried strawberry cream, carrot cake, cold chocolate drink, and more. Take some time to visit.

A must visit if you are in Athens!! Every dessert we tried was beyond amazing. Wife loved all little pies. Traveling all over the world I have finally found the best baklava in my life! Big portion, rich flavors, and the perfect crunch!!! Top it all off with balanced shot of espresso. I highly recommend this place and the very sweet owners made us feel at home. If you are near acropolis you must add this place in your tour.
