It's the perfect escape from the tourist traps surrounding the Acropolis Museum. The meats (lamb, chicken, pork, etc) roasting on the spit are always seasoned perfectly, but the cooked dishes are super tasty and satisfying. Pair everything with a carafe of the house red and I'm all set!

The couple who runs this place is very warm and welcoming. They prepare their speciality food every day. Although I'm from India the food here feels like home to me.

I wanted an authentic, not Americanized, Greek meal, and we found it here. Everything is made fresh and by the owners. They served very good wine with the meal too.
M	Masterchef La Recette on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow. Another great family run tavern in Athens. The food was SO good. Everything is freshly made, when it's gone, its gone. We arrived quite late and the waiter showed us what dishes were still available so that we could decide whether we were interested before ordering. We loved everything we ordered. Greek salad, stuffed peppers, chicken with peppers and olive oil, and lamb and potatoes. The house white wine was great. Highly recommend this tavern if you want to experience real Greek food. The food is so fresh you feel like eating at your grandma. Thank you again for the great food.
