The rooms were moldy, they were not going to be cleaned, the blankets that leave smell like cats' tail .. And you have to clean the toilet before you go in ... The pictures do not correspond to the real picture ..

The worst!
The bathroom smelled, they asked us for the money from the first day with the excuse that his daughter has a birthday! They went to book the room twice!
Too expensive!

The photos do not correspond to reality. The volcano room smelled of mold to such an extent that it was difficult to even sleep. It was dirty and the cockroaches were walking the corridors. We had paid the deposit and when we wanted to leave earlier (the second day) as we could not stand the smell the owner asked us to pay the full amount for all the days still and for what we would not stay as this is the cancellation policy. The site does not list any cancellation policy. Unacceptable and unprofessional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let me begin by saying that I’ve never written an online review of a hotel before, but I truly would not want anyone to have the same experience as I did here. First off, every single photo and description you see online is not true, and “Alea Milos” is not even a hotel at all. I had booked the 5 person room, and what I was brought to was not a hotel, nor a reception desk, or even an apartment. The room was literally a bunker underneath a small house complex in an alley way (see photos of entrance and street). There is one window which does not open, and a screen on the door which you cannot leave open overnight because someone can easily get into the room. There is absolutely no air circulation and no air filtration devices either. One of the girls with us has asthma and had a very difficult time breathing, not to mention the rest of us as well. When asked if we could have any other possible room, the owner Manolis said that he was fully booked and could do nothing for us. There was no effort made on his part to offer us any other accommodations or even simply an apology.
The cleanliness of the place is another issue entirely on its own. There is mold growing everywhere because of the lack of air and moisture in the room. DO NOT LET THE PICTURES OF WHITE ROOMS AND WALLS FOOL YOU!!! The “maids” do not come and clean your rooms at all. Actually the only reason they came to our room was to turn off our air conditioner while we were out. The worst part is that we paid 300 dollars PER NIGHT for a bunker filled with mold, where they don’t even bring you fresh towels. The price is almost comical considering what you get.
We were also told that we could “use the washer at our disposal”. When we asked for laundry detergent, the staff brought some over. However, the next day I tried taking my clothes out of the washing machine, but the machine was stuck shut. When I called Manolis, his sister claimed that the washing machine was broken, even though we had not only been told to use it, but they even brought us the detergent themselves!!!!!! They managed to finally get our clothes out by the end of the day.
The staff themselves were just absolutely ridiculous. Manolis told us that he would pick us up from the port (keep in mind there is 5 of us), and he showed up in a 2 door car. He only took our suitcases to the room, and told us to walk to the room by ourselves, which we obviously could not find because it is not a real hotel with a sign or a name. No other local on the island had ever even heard of “Alea Milos”. To top this experience off, when we finally found our bunker there were the people’s bags and luggage in it, WHICH MANOLIS DECIDED TO LEAVE OUTSIDE ON THE STREET SO THEY COULD START CLEANING THE ROOM. The other couple who were staying in the room before us came to find their bags in the middle of the street (passports, luggage, purses) as well as us in their room. The people had their phones charging inside! I have never seen anything like this before.
When I called Manolis to ask what was going on here, he admitted they messed up and hung up on me mid sentence. Bear in mind there is no reception desk so it is very distressing when the only point of contact hangs up on you. It is also very important to note that the guests before us still had their key to the room, had we not been in the room all of our belongings could have very well been taken. Finally when we confronted them again about how uncomfortable we felt staying in a place like this, Manolis’ sister said nothing was taken of ours or theirs (which were left on the street) so she didn’t understand what the complaint was about.
I cannot express enough what a mistake you would be making if you booked here, because the island truly is beautiful and staying here would just ruin your experience all together. I would not stay here for free, honestly I wouldn’t stay here again even if I was paid to do so. Please don’t waste your money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was an absolute disaster. It was insanely messy. The owners have no sense of respect. Midway through our conversation the owners were more fixated on communicating on their phones instead of explaining things to us properly. Manoli is the most disrespectful person I have ever encountered. When we told him we were not satisfied with our room, he began yelling at us and swearing at us in Greek and in English. We had to contact the police because Manoli was aggressive and yelling constantly. The bathroom stunk and the towels were not clean. The air conditioning had never been repaired properly despite having read reviews addressing this issue. Avoid this place at all cost. They are not capable of handling a business. Unprofessional at its greatest. There are better hotels around the area. If I could give them a zero, I would...
