Το πεντάτοξο πέτρινο γεφύρι ονομάστηκε και «γεφύρι του πεντοχίλιαρου», επειδή εικονιζόταν στην πίσω όψη του πιο διάσημου χαρτονομίσματος στα χρόνια της δραχμής. Στην μπροστινή όψη εικονιζόταν ο Θεόδωρος Κολοκοτρώνης και πίσω η Καρύταινα στην Αρκαδία...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Περνάς με το αυτοκίνητο, παρκαρεις λίγα μέτρα παρακάτω και βλέπεις τον Αλφειό αλλα ακριβώς από κάτω είναι το ιστορικό γεφύρι της Καρίταινας με το εκκλησσάκι στο πόδι του. Πολύ όμορφο και γραφικό
You pass by car, park a few meters below and see Alfeios but just below is the historic bridge of Karitaina with the church at its foot. Very beautiful and picturesque
