O	Onoufrios Dovletis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ •Στη διασταύρωση του δρόμου από τη Μεγαλόπολη, κάτω από τη σύγχρονη γέφυρα, υπάρχει το παλιό πεντάτοξο γεφύρι μήκους 50μ. που παρουσιάζει φράγκικα στοιχεία. •Το γεφύρι βρίσκεται στο δρόμο που συνέδεε το κάστρο της Καρίταινας με τη Μεσσηνία κατά το μεσαίωνα. Χτίστηκε από τους Φράγκους τον 13ο αι. και ανακαινίστηκε στα 1439-1440 με δαπάνη του Μανουήλ Ραούλ Μελίκη, όπως μας πληροφορεί η εντοιχισμένη κτιτορική επιγραφή. •Εκεί βρίσκεται και η δίκοχη μικρή βυζαντινή εκκλησία, αφιερωμένη στο Γενέσιο της Θεοτόκου που είναι μάλλον σύγχρονη με την ανακαίνιση του γεφυριού. *Μπορείτε να φτάσετε μέχρι κάτω μέσω του στενού δρόμου με αυτοκίνητο. • At the intersection of the road from Megalopolis, under the modern bridge, there is the old five-arched bridge 50m long. showing Frankish elements. • The bridge is located on the road that connected the castle of Karitaina with Messinia in the Middle Ages. G	Georgios Meintanis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Πρόκειται για μια από τις αρχαιότερες γέφυρες της Πελοποννήσου,στον δρόμο από την Καρύταινα προς Ανδρίτσαινα και Μεγαλόπολη.Από κάτω κυλάει ο ποταμός Αλφειός.Το γεφύρι έχει ύψος 12 μέτρα,μήκος 50 μέτρα και το μεγαλύτερο τόξο έχει άνοιγμα 8,75 μέτρα.Εικάζεται πως στα θεμέλια του ,μάστορες έκτισαν μια πριγκίπισσα των Φράγκων τον μακρινό Μεσαίωνα.Η διέλευση του είναι με παλιά ξύλινα μαδέρια,αρκετά επικίνδυνα και ο τόπος παρουσιάζει σημεία εγκατάλειψης. It is one of the oldest bridges in the Peloponnese, on the road from Karytaina to Andritsaina and Megalopolis. From below flows the river Alfeios. The bridge is 12 meters high, 50 meters long and the largest arch has an opening of 8.75 meters. At its foundations, builders built a princess of the Franks in the distant Middle Ages.
