★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointed. We stayed here 3 years ago and were accommodated in the main building and it was fabulous. On booking this year we were not aware that the hotel has rooms in another building across the small side street. These rooms are nothing like our previous experience. A very cramped toilet/shower room, so cramped that the toilet pan is actually invading the shower tray and the shower itself washes the wall meaning it has to be directed using one hand. It also has one of those horrible clinging fabric curtains and not the glass door cubicle we expected.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We just stayed in Plakias for a few days and we ate our / lunch. dinner.. The food was really great ( sea bream and lumb.. octopus it was very good..
Stuff was kind and attentive and knew English very well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our worst meal in Crete. Waited 40+ minutes after ordering for pasta with shrimp and chicken fillet with rice. The pasta was overcooked and the shrimp were mealy. The rice was undercooked and still raw. Management said it takes them 30 mins to cook chicken. If they really wanted to feature the cooking style they probably shouldn’t drench the chicken in creme and let customers know. Top it off, they didn’t arrive at table at same time.

Tito (from the personal) had a good English and gave as very good advices and recommendations. Can't wait to sit in the taverne and look at the sea...

But the breakfast was not very good arranged. What a waste to not have as a buffé!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice venue and great location. Hotel is in almost front of the beach (Main Street is between hotel and beach). sea view rooms have a picturesque view. Definitely would stay again to that hotel. Covid protocols are applied 100%. Box for garbages is missing in the room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ask for the lemon cake desert. If they don’t have it, ask when they will have it and then return. It’s the secret recipe of an old lady who prepares it and it is among the best deserts I have ever had, I‘m dead serious.
