alterSail - marina cafe

Nous devions partir en excursion de base avec une autre compagnie mais ils n’avaient plus de disponibilité donc nous sommes tombé sur « Altersail » sur tripadvisor. Voici le déroulé de notre excursion : - On vient nous chercher à notre hôtel pour nous ramener au port. - Pendant 1h, nous naviguons vers l’île de Dia. - Sur place, nous restons pendant ~2h30. Pendant ce temps, vous êtes libre de rester sur le bateau pour bronzer (il y a un petit coin d’ombre à l’arrière qui peut accueillir 4/6 personnes) ou bien sauter dans l’eau. Vous avez à disposition des lunettes pour voir ce qui se cache sous l’eau, une fritte et des gilets de sauvetage. - On nous sert sur un plateau, une brochette de poulet mariné, une salade grecque, une biscotte et un petit bol de fruits (les boissons au choix entre Fanta citron/orange, eau, vin blanc/rosé sont à volonté -sans abus-). - Pour finir, nous repartons pour 1h en direction du port d’Heraklion. - Le mini bus de transfert étant plein, nous avons eu un taxi pour nous raccompagner à l’hôtel (pris en charge par leurs soins). Points positifs : - La prise en charge - L’accueil du skipper (nous avons oublié de lui demander son prénom mais il est très sympathique et est accompagné d’un jeune homme). Points négatifs : - Le prix (79€/p, je trouve cela cher pour la Crète, d’autant plus que l’île de Dia n’est pas la plus merveilleuse à voir. Je n’ai pas vu beaucoup de poissons par exemple donc pas très intéressant). - D’autres compagnies avaient un paddle à disposition mais pas AlterSail, c’est bien dommage… Néanmoins, je laisse 5* pour la gentillesse du personnel et le bon déroulement.

Wir hatten über unseren Reiseveranstalter eine Sunset Selling Tour mit dieser Firma gebucht. Wir wurden pünktlich (10 min. vor der Zeit) von dem Shuttle Bus abgeholt. Der Busfahrer Nikos war super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auf dem Segelschiff war ebenfalls alles super. Wir hatten einen tollen Ausflug zu der Insel Dia. Die Schiffs Crew war ebenfalls sehr freundlich. Als kleinen Snack gab es frisches Obst. Die Getränke Auswahl an Bord war ebenfalls sehr umfangreich (Wasser, Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Wein usw.). Das Abendessen wurde frisch zubereitet und war sehr lecker (Hauptspeise und Nachspeise). Alles in allem war der Ausflug ein voller Erfolg! Der Sonnenuntergang auf dem Meer war ein Traum und kann ich nur jedem empfehlen. Preis Leistung war Top!

Nikos turned our day around by helping us book a day trip to Dia island after the catamaran we rented through another company left without us. He even recommended a place for us to grab food while we were in town before our sail took place. The sailing trip with Giannis and Emma couldn’t have been more perfect. They were kind, accommodating, and genuine. We had a delicious meal on the boat and got to swim around in the clear blue water before catching the sunset on the trip back to the harbor. This was a day we will always remember and I highly recommend Altersail to anyone visiting Crete. A must do!

Alter Sail’s Nikos and Emma are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. From mythological stories to letting us know about technical sailing aspects - Nikos was always happy to answer any questions and then some! There was absolutely nothing I would change, everything was perfect. Thank you Nikos & Emma (Alter Sail!) for such a memorable experience - it was the highlight of my trip. -Dia

Had the best boat trip today with George (Gorge?) and Nancy. Such nice and friendly, easygoing people, they are a treasure by themselves. They sailed us to Dia for half a day. For lunch they serve a really good meal (not the usual, but actually very tastfull cooking), Nancy is a great chef! If you're lucky, George lets you steer for a while and if you like you can help a bit with the sailing. And a special thank you to Thomas (from Austria), who picked us up at the hotel. We met some really great people today and had a wonderful experience.
