The best Moussaka i ever ate in Creta. Super tasty, and i looove the melting texture. Also ordered the Cretan Salad with lemon dressing, it's so refreshing during to have that during the day. Got fresh warm pita bread + olive paste, and pudding + raki at the end as service. Overall super happy with the service and the foods.

Lovely restaurant slightly hidden away from the main strip in Heraklion, this place is great for traditional Greek cuisine. They also offer American food, but we didn't sample this as we were interested in the local offerings ? The moussaka was incredible, very fresh and a true credit to Greek food. Staff were friendly and helpful, they even gave us complimentary desert and some raki. I would definitely recommend and visit again!

We visited here for lunch on a day out in Herakleion after stumbling across it by accident. The drinks were good and cold, food was superb and our server/waiter was brilliant! Good humoured and engaging. They deserve a visit considering they're not one of the most obvious restaurants being tucked away a little. Big thumbs up!??

Coming from USA, Amalia’s Kitchen has great American food and Greek food at normal prices. The owner will personally greet you and enjoy conversation, telling you about her journey from Texas to Crete. Above average service and large portions had us visiting two nights in a row during our 10 day trip to Crete. Thank you Amalia’s for making my American homesickness go away.

The best pita and the softest chicken ever. Accompanied by super nice and friendly service and a surprise after the meal ;) Highly recommended!

Unlike other nearby restaurants, it wasn’t so packed. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing in these weird times. ? The food was good, there was more than enough. What stood out was the fact that this was the only restaurant where, in addition to meat and potatoes, they brought a little more salad. Very commendable. Otherwise, the service was very friendly and fast. They certainly deserve more than four stars, not exactly five. But since I can’t give a half rating, Amelia’s Kitchen earned 5 stars.
