The hotel had taken every precaution to mitigate this pandemic. The room was clean, spacious and tidy, with toiletries provided. It had an air conditioner and a TV. Housekeeping was done on a daily basis. Buffet breakfast was good, though there were no fruits provided. There was a lift, the staircase is narrow. The neighbouring streets look dodgy but are safe, I walked to the hotel from syntagma square (airport express bus stand) and reached the hotel at around 2am and I didn't face any problems along the way. The hotel is within a 40 minute walking distance to most of the historic sites. My room had a balcony facing the side streets and it was quite noisy at night. There were sufficient power sockets spread throughout the different rooms, with a wardrobe and locker right near entrance. A small fridge near the kitchen sink, along with utensils, bottle opener and cutlery. There are lots of restaurants nearby (omonia square), even the central municipal Athens market is within 10 minutes walking distance.

Great little hotel in the heart of Athens. The area is somewhat ‘colourful’ with lots of people from abroad trying to eke out a living doing whatever they need to move on – there was absolutely no hassle from these people (I was never invited to take up any services or offerings). Many people from other countries have made Ormonoia their home and there are ample opportunities to sample Arabic and Indian sub-continent food – and it is well worth it. Within a 500m radius you’ll come across quite a few Greek eateries and bars: some of the bars appear a bit pricey and it beggars belief that some of these street bars can charge €4.50 for a beer in a place that resembles a 70’s concrete carbuncle that the bar-owners look like they are squatting in. I finally settled for Anteste Bar: Owners from Crete, with good value honest Cretan prices and hospitality to match. Back to the hotel: Good Coffee/OJ, reasonable breakfast, the room ticked all the right boxes for me, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a short-ish walk from Syntagma Square (the Metro station for the airport) and just behind Ormonoia Square. The hotel offers exceptional value and even if people book when prevailing prices (in Athens) are subject to a pricing surge, I’m sure people get really good value for money at the Ambrosia. I would not hesitate to book the hotel again if I were staying in Athens.

Beds are comfy, little expensive than other suites and apartments for 3 persons. Breakfast is free. For Breakfast there's Cereal, Boiled Egg, Butter/Jam, Coffee/Tea/Juices, and Meat and Cheese(Not Suitable for Muslims) Two types of Bread, White and Brown. Pakistani Shops are near, Barber or Mobile Repair, even a restaurant is near. Restaurant/Breakfast is on 1st Floor. Lift is a bit small. Kettle, Plate, Cups and Glass are available.

This hotel says it’s 4 star it’s far from it. Rooms very tiny and room smell. The bedding looks older then some of my underwear’s. We didn’t cover our selfs. No picture due to nothing to show for you guys and be excited. Why to stars just because they had someone at the front desk.

Front Desk people’s very help full. All other staff very pleasant and smiling ??????. Rooms are clean, neat comfortable. Washrooms could be little more roomy. Shower is too small, worry about water to go out of curtain.

Clean hotel, friendly staff, ready to help you with any problem you encounter. Decent breakfast, and the area where it is located is 3 minutes by subway.

Am only giving 1 star, more to do with the area. It's in is VERY deprived and run down part of Athens,it's really not an area you want to bring your children to. The apartments are basic but clean and has a concierge which given the area it's located in is a really good thing.

Every morning at 7am I was woken up by hotel employees shouting at each other in FRONT of my room and making noises I would describe as furniture moving. Every. Single. Morning. AC could not be used because of the disgusting smell coming out of it. Toilet was leaking and the wifi provided very poor internet speed. There were positive sides but they are highly overweight by the negatives. Great location, clean room.
