★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendliest, most deliciously chilled out corner spot in downtown Athens. I had the best fried chicken "burger" I've ever had!! Aside from the chicken which was perfectly crunchy and not greasy at all, and the sourdough bun, which was deliciously soft and chewy, the fixings were incredibly fresh - tender baby greens and super light and tasty aioli. The rest of the group got hot dogs (super flavourful homemade sausages, to be exact!) and the crispiest fresh chips ever. Topped off with lime ice cream, can't ask for much more on a summer evening. (We also got a cinnamon roll and brownie for the road, had them the next day and they were soft and yummy).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amerikana is an amazing new eating experience in Athens. I loved the English type sausages (impossible to find ) in homemade bread rolls. The bread is delicious. Everything we ate was great and felt totally homemade. The fried chicken is super light and juicy. All in all a great dining experience with fast and friendly service. The ice cream was delicious too!!! Will definitely come back!! Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hot dogs - the very best, with perfect sourdough buns and homemade sausages; light and crispy fried chicken; salads fresh as fresh and homemade mayonnaise; pies and brownies and sundry hard-to resist goodies straight out of the oven; the creamiest and tastiest of ice-creams - everything is delicious and served with a friendly smile! A regular stop for us on each visit into Athens!

But best of all is their fried chicken bucket.
Simply don't miss this. Worth the waiting , as everything is cooked upon order. Plus the friendly service. Sorry I missed the potato salad. Recommended.
