Ammos Bay - Ammos Bay

Positive: Amazing views. Negative: Very basic facilities. Old mattress..

Positive: Dimitris very kindly upgraded us to a sea view room and arranged a room for us to stay in on our last day due to having a late flight. We had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend Ammos Bay :).

Positive: N/A. Negative: The shower tray was small and the curtain stuck to you. Also better shower heads required. It would also stop water leaking into the floor..

Ammos Bay was wonderful. Exquisite scenery!! The sunset was amazing. An idyllic location, that offers a panoramic view of the Adriatic Sea. The apartments were spacious, immaculate and fully equipped with all things necessary. Extreme cleanness on a daily basis was also one of the positive characteristics. All of the apartments have a sea view. It’s an ideal place to calm down and enjoy some relaxation. Tasos was great, totally qualified and extremely professional. I hope you go on with the same determination and yearning. Congratulations!!

Positive: The view is fantastic. The rooms all face west, towards the sea and the sunset. Rooms are basic, but large and comfortable, with a shower room, kitchenette, and a large balcony with chairs and a table. The village is in a beautiful location, surrounded by high tree covered mountains. There are several little supermarkets that stock daily needs, and a greengrocer for fresh fruit and veg. There's a range of places to eat, although many were shut when I was there. There's a washing machine that is free for guests to use. Soap is provided, and there are drying racks in the rooms. There's also a couple of car and bike rental operators if you want to explore the surrounding area. Buses serve Corfu town from the bus stop outside Gee Bee supermarket in the village. You can buy tickets at the supermarket.. Negative: Staff were rarely on site, and there were very few guests when I stayed. So it felt a little isolated. It's a short walk up a (very) steep hill from the village, so you'll need help getting there if you're not young and fit. It's on a steep hillside, with lots of steps, so again, not ideal for those with limited mobility. There's no restaurant, so you will need to go down into the village for meals and provisions. WiFi is available, but unreliable. Best to have mobile data if internet is important to you. The village is very small and surrounded by steep hils, so it's not easy to get out and explore without your own transport..

Ammos Bay was everything advertised and then a little more. First of all, the location of the hotel was really convenient. Just 7 kilometers from the airport, all the while they provided us with a ride to and from there. The building of the hotel was new and very neat looking; its exterior so enticing, with the pool and everything. The room was quite spacious and cozy. It was immaculate and the staff kept it that way through our entire stay there. Clean sheets and towels were also daily provided. Speaking of the staff, it was actually a bonus that the hotel provided with multilingual assistants. It really made our stay infinitely easier and so did the other room accommodations. Air conditioning, free WiFi, a fridge, a small kitchen and a washing machine where some of the few things offered. The view of our room was so pretty. It was actually a very nice place to just relax after a night out. The pool was also a great bonus. All in all, Amos Bay was an amazing place to stay while visiting Corfu. It provided with everything advertised and the people there actually went out of their way to help you with anything you needed; that’s how determined they were with giving you the best experience possible. I would definitely recommend and I’m definitely going back !

Positive: Fantastic view from the balcony. Great location - 5 minutes from the sea; 2 minutes from bus stop. Manager was very kind and helpful. Dmitri allow us to stay longer due to our flight was late and it was no problem. Nearest beach is really nice.. Negative: Items in the kitchen were a little bit old. Shower could be bigger..

Be careful! Many of the reviews here are paid reviews. You can notice by the way they all sound similar. While the staff was friendly, the room I stayed at was not in good condition. There was some mold in the shower and the room did have an uncomfortable smell to it. I had to therefore keep the windows open all the time during my stay. Also there is no pool (like it says on Google Maps). On a positive note: The bed and wifi were fine and it was possible the arrive on the day of booking. If the issues mentioned are fixed it's an okay Appartment hotel to book, though for the price you can find more modern and sophisticated options in town.
