★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly highly recommend this boutique hotel. Situated in the main attraction area. Super friendly and accomodating. They even made us a packed bfast as we had to leave early. Clean rooms and they have a nice terrace with breathtaking views.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't even know where to begin but here we go!
Location: Unbeatable! Located in the heart of Chania and right on the water, the experience is absolutely serene. Whether you are enjoying your morning cappuccino in the café or winding down with an evening glass of wine on the terrace, you have an unobstructed view of the old harbor and the historic lighthouse. Not to mention, you are waking distance from absolutely everything that Chania has to offer.
Breakfast: Wow! Definitely exceeds expectations of a free breakfast to say the least! Not only is everything local and fresh, the attention to detail that James and Panos (the chefs) put into every plate truly shows the passion they have in their profession. I personally started every day with scrambled eggs on fresh sourdough, side of sausage, and local olive oil drizzled over fresh arugula with tomatoes. Top that off with a cup of cappuccino, with a signature heart that Efstratia delicately shaped in the Microfoam on the surface. If coffee is not your thing no worries, she will steep a cup of her perfected Spiced Chai with almond milk instead. Now that’s how to start the day!
Rooms: Very quaint, modern, and beautiful! Every square inch is put to use in the genius floorplan & design. I love how the guests have full control of the A/C to ensure maximum comfort. My bed was supper comfortable and the 12ft tall rain shower is tranquilizing. The desk was perfect when I needed to catch up on work. End your day with a bottle of local Raki that magically reappears in your fridge every day.
Staff: As a whole, it is crystal clear that their passion is making sure every guest has an unforgettable experience! They treat everyone like family and have only the best recommendations for restaurants, scenic drives, beaches, hikes, etc. They can almost add “travel agency” to their title. Efstratia (or Stephanie for us Americans) is available 24/7 to help you with anything you need from best places to find parking to what meal you must order at each restaurant. Athenesea, Zoey, and Elena will always give you a warm welcome and have great scenic drive recommendations. If James and Panos arent’ cooking your next meal, they are guiding you towards more great food or just providing good company while you have a beer.
In closing, I cannot imagine myself staying anywhere else in Chania that truly gives you the comfort, hospitality, and true exposure to the beauty of Crete and warm souls of the wonderful people who live there. I was there for work this time but I cannot wait to bring my family back to Anassa. Thanks again to Efstratia, Elena, Zoey, Athenesea, Panos, and James for a very memorable 10 days. I can’t wait to come back so you meet my family. Best wishes to you all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't miss this little oasis!
Blink and you would miss this delightful little 4 bedroom hotel, right in the centre of the Venetian Harbor.
With stunning views from the rooftop terrace and from the ground floor patio, we sat and enjoyed breakfast, brunch and cocktails in this tranquil spot.
The lovely multi lingual owner gave us lots of advice on everything from car hire to restaurant recommendations.
Their daytime menu is fresh and contemporary with vegetables from the chef's own market garden. We really loved the king oyster mushrooms on toast with spinach and feta and the butternut squash soup with garlic buttered croutons! Tiny meringues filled with passion fruit curd were amazing... And don't start me on the cocktails! they offer a completely unique cocktail menu, so different from the usual fare in the neighbouring restaurants and bars. Can't wait to come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at Anassa for four nights and had the most amazing stay. The hotel is brand new and decorated with taste. The location is just perfect, on the old Venetian port of Chania (such incredible views!). The room was beautiful, very comfortable and with a superb waterfall rain shower. The breakfast was so generous and tasty with plenty of local products. But what we most enjoyed is the amazing customer service. The owners will do everything to make you enjoy your stay. I came to Chania to celebrate my birthday and they helped my partner in arranging for beautiful flowers and succulent patisseries to make the day so special. We will definitely stay here again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What can I say other than the rating speaks for itself. Staff are so friendly, inviting, informative and go above and beyond to make your stay the best it possibly could be. The food and drinks are the best you'll get around the marina, fresh ingredients and just done so well. Management is on another level, you can feel how much the family cares about this place and the people who stay in it. I can't express enough how much of an impact this place had on my stay in Chania, I am definitely returning. Really, just....wow.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little hotel is an absolute gem! We stayed for 6 nights late May. Woke up each morning to a beautiful view of the harbour and clear blue skies. Our room was top floor and very nicely finished (whole hotel extensively remodelled and over last few years). Stephanie the owner/manager was amazingly helpful. She was like a concierge with loads of information about what to see/do/places to drink and eat. Great personality. She definitely goes the extra distance to satisfy her guests. Her small staff were all attentive and provided an excellent service. The inclusive breakfast was also excellent. It has not been easy over the last few years for the hospitality/tourist industry and my wife Alison and I wish this little business all the very best and cannot recommend it highly enough.
